king eel sushi bento — Restaurant in Santa Ana

I have mixed feelings about this review. I went there with my family, and while I understand that sushi can be expensive, I was surprised by the overall rating of this place. Unfortunately, the sushi was the most tasteless I've ever had. They tried to add flavor with mayo and spicy sauces, but when the miso soup arrived, I knew we were in for a disappointment. It was a watery, salty liquid that barely resembled miso. The rice and fish, for some reason, lacked flavor, and much of the rice was mushy. The sashimi was also of low quality.

On a positive note, the service was good, and the woman who assisted us was very pleasant, which is why I have mixed feelings about the review. Even if the prices were cut in half, I would still find it difficult to recommend this...

My fiancee and my father work by this place and they love to eat here. I didnt have work yesterday so they suggested we go and I could try it. It was SUPERB! Amazing place to get real food. The ramen was so rich and absolutely massive for way cheaper and faster then you could get else where and with QR code ordering, great service, and bar/diner seating, it's quickly becoming my go to lunch spot for a nice quick meal on break from work.
