Felt bad about the three star atmosphere rating cause I love this spot but let’s be real, you’re not coming here for a five star dinner with the wife, so let’s focus on the food and the service. These guys are a staple for the workers who live in this industrial area in their 9-5 daily routine.
The food is exactly what I want from a spot like this. My go to is the Italian sub. The portions are generous and it’s one I find myself craving with guilt when I’m trying to cut weight because it’s so good.
My other go to is the steak breakfast burrito. This one’s a little smaller or the side as far as breakfast burritos go but it’s perfect for me. Not overwhelming where it leaves you with a food coma to start the day, and it comes with a home made salsa like you can’t get anywhere else. It’s tasty, it’s refreshing and just the perfect addition to my morning. They also offer jalapeños and pickled peppers to go with it and I always do but standalone it’s so good.
Then there’s the service. This is a mom and pop shop. I’ve been coming here for about 10 years, the owners know my face. One time I forgot my wallet and phone at the shop and they let me slide. Said I could come back later and pay for it, and that solidified my love for this spot.
They just want you to leave happy and satisfied and I couldn’t love them more for it. I will always be back here and I hope you come in and say hi because these people are as genuine as it gets and the food stands out as one of the best you can get...
Read moreDrove a long way to get here as I couldn’t find a baked potato anywhere else. The mega potato was delicious, although the potato skin wasn’t at all crispy (I prefer baked potatoes with crispy skin). Toppings were good. Steak sandwich had enough meat but was somehow strangely sweet which I very much dislike in savory food. Won’t be ordering that again but would come back for the potatoes if I can’t find a better place. FYI the place is located in a really run down part of town with a lot of homeless people walking around. I wouldn’t bring kids anywhere near here. This is definitely a dive in a seedy area but it’s still worth...
Read moreI was passing through the area and decided to try this local business I’m all about supporting local businesses. I got their lunch special which was the spaghetti with toasted bread for $7.99 the food was tasty however for their noodle to meatball ratio was disappointing. I only received two meatballs and I would have liked to seen three or four for the amount of noodles they give you.
Hopefully they will address this and put more meatballs in their spaghetti‘s in the future.
I’d like to come back and try the...
