I am giving 2 stars to this restaurant because they do not offer a good customer service. Today was my first time eating at this place and me and my friend were really exited to try their food and drinks. First thing I order was a clam chowder soup, horchata water and a chicken breast with pistarles and brócoli, then my friend ordered carne asada fries, Nutella shake and a sand wish. After taking our order, the waitress comes back telling my friend they don’t have ice cream. Therefore, she cant get the shake that she wants. Fine with us then. Then the waitress comes back telling me now, they do not have the clam chowder soup, I’m like “ok what do you actually have” she’s like “everything else” AGAIN, we just leave it like that (without the shake and without the soup). Later she comes back again telling my friend they do not have the carne asada for her fries!. We got irritated and disappointed that what kind of restaurant doesn't have ingredients to make the food that the customer wants and is paying for?!. So my friend and I decided to cancel the order and leave. SO, we ended paying only for our drinks and we paid separately. When I pay for my drink I gave the waitress and $20 bill and my drink was only $4.49 so she gives back only 15$ instead of the $15.09 change. Which I’m standing there to receive my other $.09 cents back. And I’m like “where’s my other $.09 cents? And she’s like “oh we don’t have change”. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. I don’t know what kind of management they have in this restaurant but apparently they do not have one I guess, since they don’t have items that they offer on the menu and they do not have change to pay back to their customers. That’s why...
Read moreThe food is literally okay. This was my second time with a big group so we ordered a lot of different things off the menu and everyone agreed for the price it’s not worth it. Bland and tasteless. The service was weird. The waitresses were friendly and greeted us but then that’s it. They brought us TWO of the pan dulce things for the whole group. I mean one two not two baskets two breads. We spent over 300$ and you can’t even bring everyone their own bread? Then we asked for knives because they only gave us forks with literally less than one napkin each and they never brought the knives. We had questions about the menu and the waitress just looked at us and didn’t offer any help or suggestions. The food was brought out at different times which is so rude and awkward - and mine came out cold. We asked for BOXES and they brought out ONE box- like are they broke and trying to save money? It was just weird. The service was bad the food is not amazing and it was expensive. My grandpa said it best when we left “the first time we came there was a line out the door now there’s nobody waiting” yea because people realize it’s not worth the price or hassle...
Read moreFirst time visiting this location after seeing the positive reviews, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. David, the gentleman who attended us, was dry and unwelcoming, almost as if he didn’t care. But that wasn’t even the worst part the restaurant had a very strong smell of urine, and the carpets looked extremely dirty. The odor was so overwhelming while eating that I started feeling nauseous.
I ordered the menudo, hoping it would be good, but was told it was two days old. While I appreciated David’s honesty, the dish itself was unappetizing overcooked, stiff meat, and a tasteless, thick broth. I had to use all the lemons and chiles just to give it some flavor, but it was still absolutely unpleasant. The tortillas were no better; they tasted like they had been microwaved, coming out hard and half cold.
The only positives were the horchata, which was delicious, and the fresh conchas that David gave us at no charge to make up for the bad experience. For that effort, I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1, but I definitely won’t be...
