I do not recommend eating here. I hope the health department inspects his food handling and food storage practices.

I'm really torn and considered not leaving a review at all. The owner is an elderly man who is very nice and kind but there was a serious problem with the kabob koobideh (ground beef kabob) and he did not believe us and did nothing to correct it. And charged us full price.

Initially, we really enjoyed the experience and his friendly nature. We were with three people: myself, my girlfriend and my son. I got the Jujeh kabob (Cornish hen) and it was delicious. My girlfriend got the gheimeh (split pea stew) and the favors were good but it didn't taste like it was freshly made.... maybe a few days ago. The real problem was with the simplest dish: kabob koobideh. After my son found two hairs in the rice he refused to eat it. I gave him my jujeh kabob instead. When we tried eating his koobideh kabob, it tasted really bad. The meat smelled rotten, and the texture was not good either. I've eaten kabob my whole life. I know kabob. This was awful. None of us could eat it. I tried some of the 2nd skewer (in case only one of them had been poorly cooked) but it also smelled bad.

I went up to the owner (privately) and explained it to him and he asked me to wait. He went to the kitchen and returned with a 10 or 20 pound package of frozen meat to show me it was halal and the best quality. He said everyone loves his kabob. He did not want to believe that his food was bad.

We then observed he doesn't use gloves when handling food. We also noticed he carefully collected the un-eaten bread from another table after the customers had left and we're not sure why.

In the end he pulled up my bill and he charged for all items including the koobideh that was not eaten (and that had hair in the rice that came with it). He asked me if everything was correct on the bill. I was shocked he didn't offer to remove the charge and I agreed and paid him. I feel like a fool for not telling him to take the charge off. I think someone who truly cared about his customers would...

I recently traveled from Washington to Santa Ana, CA, and while searching on Google for a Persian restaurant, I decided to try this place since it was conveniently located nearby. To my surprise, not only was the food exceptional, but the owner provided outstanding customer service as well. If I lived here, I would definitely be a regular customer. But without a doubt, every time I visit CA, I will make it a point to stop by this restaurant. I've had kebabs at various Persian restaurants, and while I'm usually not very picky about food, none have come close to the quality and taste of this place. The amazing, high-quality food combined with the excellent customer service from the owner made my experience here truly enjoyable. If you're looking for some fantastic kebab, I highly recommend...

Food poisoning. We were in LA area for 4 days. The first day we dined in and the food seemed fine. The Koobideh was good but the meat didn’t seem to be good quality. Overall, it was kid range with good customer service. The second day we had some takeouts. We had a dish of Ghormesabzi that was packed in a plastic container that didn’t seem to be meant for hot food and the rice was old. Regardless, we ended up getting sick and took us 5-6 days to recover and ruined our vacation. Two people in our party had the Ghormesabzi and...

I'm an Afghan and I visited this restaurant last week through Google Map. When we entered the restaurant, the owner welcomed us by saying, " Khobeeeee." A word means "how are you?" Though, I don't understand Persian because I'm Pashtoon, but this word just entered my heart.I just can't say how sweet and nice person he is. When we were about to leave, he gave us Persian sweet and sayed goodbye. If you are Asian Please visit at least once while you are in the town. BTW my pic from that time is attached.

If you ever had Zereshk polo. Never try this. Zereshk polo MOST come with Zereshk NOT cranberry!!! The chicken for the dish is coming with tomatoes, if you changed the dish why still called Zereshk polo?!!! I am glad that I will never eat that again, giving 1 stars because we don have 0 stars option, you are the cook and the restaurant owner you can cook whatever you want but please don’t change the recipe’s for traditional foods.
