Such a disappointing experience! Ordered a bunch of different food for a group lunch including a burger, Cesar salad, fried calamari, fish tacos, clam chowder and very excitedly ordered the mussels with fries. The food took a very long time to arrive. The soup had a skin across the top when it was brought to the table and the salad was unappetizingly swimming in dressing, the calamari sticks were very nice, but the mussels were a disaster.

First, we were not given a dish to put the shells in, so we made do with the bottom dish from the calamari. Then as I went to empty the shells for my daughter, I discovered about half the shells in the plate were already empty. Then most of the mussels didn't have the beards removed, so I had to take care of that. Then I gave one to my daughter, which she ate, but then shook her head and announced no more. Strange given mussels are one of her favorite foods. Then I tasted one and discovered the sauce was inedibly salty. I hate sending food back. I know it's hard to cook and mistakes can happen but then I was presented with the bill and was reminded that I was being charged $33 for a plate of mussels from which two were eaten and a bunch of the fries had been transferred early on to a different plate. I decided to tell the waiter who at first ignored me but then asked if I wanted to send it back. It's embarrassing, but I said yes, they really should taste it to learn how salty it was. Then a different guy came out and said he took 25% off the item on the bill, still essentially charging me $25 for a handful of fries . I was pretty upset, but didn't want to make a scene, so paid the bill and moved on. Definitely will not be going back, and if you decide to go, suggest you come prepared to actually stick up for yourself if you are served...

Horrible experience. My boyfriend and I wanted to sit on the deck closest to the windows overlooking the water. It's his birthday so we wanted a view. There was one table open and we snagged it quick. Our server was very, very nice and quickly served us. HOWEVER, I am fair skinned and despite my spf coverage, the sun was brutal. I asked that the umbrella located between our table and the table next to us be moved slightly toward the windows. It would have blocked the sun from both our table and the table next to us. The server told me she was not allowed to moved it while someone was seated there. I said okay and figured she'd have it moved as soon as they left . The people finally left and another party quickly sat down pretty much while the people were getting up to leave. I made it VERY OBVIOUS that I was uncomfortable and still, no one relocated the umbrella. My arms are now horribly burned!!!!

On top of that, I ordered a blood orange margarita which was priced at $13. When I ordered it, I imagined it would be in a large glass and beautifully garnished. Not even close. In fact, I almost laughed when it was served. I thought it was a joke. It came in a very small glass, had zero garnish, and had the the alcohol content equivalent to a teaspoon of nyquil. And $18 for mediocre fish n chips. I've had better food and drinks at a dive bar for half the cost.

You guys need to change your STUPID umbrella policy and LISTEN to your customers. A 6 inch move of an umbrella could have avoided this 1 star review. And your blood orange margarita needs a larger glass, garnish and a...

We drove down from Santa Maria and visited the children's museum and then had lunch on the pier. The hostess was friendly and allowed us to sit anywhere. From then on we were basically ignored. We were seated for about 15 minutes a server had yet to come by. Another party that had came in 10 minutes after us were waited on before us. Actually before the server went to that other table she told us someone would be with us. When she finished taking their order she walked by and I stopped her and explained that we had sat down way before them. She apologized and a different server came by, apologized again, and took our order. Our food took forever. In fact, other people who ordered after us got their food long before us. No exaggeration... there was a couple at the table next to us who were seated 40 minutes after we got there AND they got their food long before we got ours. I ordered the Harbor burger, my wife got the fish tacos and my son got the kids chicken fingers. When our food finally showed up the burger was OK but not memorable, my wife said the fish tacos were bland and drowning in sauce and the chicken fingers were also bland. They tried to make it better by bringing out a huge plate of nachos that we did not want AFTER we finally started eating. The staff was friendly when they made contact, which was hardly ever while we were there. I'm not even going to discuss the pigeons inside or the lipstick stain on the pack of silverware they gave me - we are just never...

What a change now ...read my update .⬇️We hadn't been here for a long time. Our son reminded us about it and said he enjoyed it. So, we went for a nice stroll on Stearns Wharf. Longboards is located on top of the Harbor restaurant. It hadn't changed at all. Still the same awesome patio with a view that's almost 360. Large patio with umbrella tables and surrounded by glass to keep the wind down. We chose to sit inside where there is a long bar in the center and it is surrounded by tables and a gorgeous view. We grabbed a handful of peanuts out of the Barrell and went to a table by the windows. The shells go on the floor, yes that's correct. It was so clear the view of the harbor and the Islands was picturesque. I chose a bloody Mary. Which was large and came with a shrimp. My wife had a beer flight with four samples. The server was sweet and recomended the fish tacos. I had those and my wife had the fish and chips. Both were very good. My tacos came with a side of rice and beans which were surprisingly tasty. We had a very nice time watching the comings and going of the harbor boats. It was really a beautiful spot with good food. As locals we will put Longboards back on our list of "go to" spots. 2023....sold and now only worthy of the view. Prices jacked hard, waitress was a downer...food was mediocre ...lost a local

Came here since it’s the first spot on the wharf and I must say this place is not worth the price. From inexperienced staff to mediocre food, this place should really re organize itself before opening up to the public. As soon as my partner and I sat down, it took the staff almost 15 minutes to realize that we needed menus. Afterwards, we noticed one server taking all the orders while a group of younger servers were standing around swinging their arms like they were waiting to be told what to do. That same server had to come from the patio to offer menus AND take our order. It wasn’t until 45 minutes later we got our two orders of surf and turf and the seafood platter. While the platter was not bad, the steak was tough and The lobster was rubbery. Not worth the 52 dollar price tag. We weren’t the only disgruntled guests as another server had messed up an order and instead of fixing it, he went back and forth with the customer. All in all, if there are no other places to eat nearby, then MAYBE and just maybe consider getting a drink here since that’s the only thing they brought out on time. And shout out to our server whom I think is named Arturo. The only redeeming quality of this place.

Dissapointing food and unprofessional staff. Went in for the lobster rolls because they are my absolute favorite and I always treat myself when I visit beachy towns. Bloody Mary was okay, nothing I'd call home about but...This was hands down the worst lobster roll I've ever had. Priced high, the lobster was old and fishy had a other things mixed in that detracted from the simple goodness of a lobster roll... To boot, the lobster roll was not filled (every other lobster roll I've gotten, from Main to San Francisco has been stuffed to the brim) so they use fillers and understuff. My significant other ordered a cheeseburger, dry and overcooked. Best part of the meal were the fries. The top off was the bartender shouting political slams about one of the candidates across the very quiet and empty bar to another staff member. Freely talk about whatever you want on your own time but a restaurant that you are employed at is not the place. The waitress was polite and professional. Stop in, enjoy the view, have a beer, but don't eat here.
