I recently took a boat cruise on Azure Seas along the Santa Barbara coastline. The cruise departs from Stearns Wharf and goes to Montecito, just passed Butterfly Beach, and then returning. The highlights included beautiful views of the coastline and a few sightings of sea lions. Overall it was very mellow and pretty uneventful. I enjoyed a cocktail while taking in the scenery, making for a serene and leisurely outing. Don’t expect much in terms of a party atmosphere because this is not that type of cruise. It’s worth noting that the cruise can get quite chilly, so I recommend bringing a jacket to stay comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant enough experience, especially for those looking for a calm and relaxing way to enjoy the coastal scenery of Santa Barbara.

I was traveling on my own and decided to spend time at Stearns Wharf. I found Celebration Cruises online and decided to get a ticket for an hour harbor cruise on the water about 4 hours before departure. This was the low key experience I was looking for. There are seats on the bow of the boat to see the ocean and coast and watch for sea life. There is no shade, so think of sunscreen ahead of time. I did see sea lions (or seals?) and a brief sight of dolphins. The staff was friendly and served drinks which made the trip more relaxing. An hour cruise was perfect for me. I'm not a boating person, nor do I ever see the ocean, so this was a perfect choice for me.

We booked our "sunset" cruise earlier in the day after the morning fog and clouds had cleared. Spent the afternoon on the wharf until it was time for the cruise. Unfortunately, by then the skies became overcast and there was no chance we'd be seeing a sunset. We were a little bummed, and obviously understanding that was out of anyone's control. UNTIL the captain saw a school of dolphins and took us out by them. What at amazing experience!! To see them up close, swimming alongside the boat, and jumping out of the water made us forget we were out there to see the sunset!! Oh and I can't forget the seals/sea lions. 😍 Thank you for that wonderful opportunity! 🐬💜

Last week, a friend and I were supposed to go on a sunset cruise; however, they had to cancel it due to mechanical reasons. They refunded me 100% and also booked another cruise for free. When we wanted to reschedule that cruise for an earlier time, they made it so easy with a simple phone call. I had left a voicemail and they returned my call quickly. They do an excellent job in communicating any changes as well as reminders. The experience itself was wonderful, as it was a clear afternoon, and we saw seals, pelicans, and so. many. dolphins. The crew were great in sharing information during the one hour cruise. It’s really a unique way to see Santa Barbara and worth the cost. Reserve on line to save $$. We were on the top deck which can get chilly during the winter. No photos - - sorry! I wanted to be present with the experience and didn’t want to risk dropping my phone into the water. You just have to go yourself and...
