The hotel and rooms are good value for money during weekdays, the weekend rate I'd see as slightly too high. The rooms are nice and modern. I agree with the comments of others that the bathroom is a bit small. But all in all the rooms are really nice and I would book it again. The breakfast is ok, nothing special but standard for a hotel like this. The 1* less is for the seemingly not paying attention to details of some people working there. The breakfast tables are dirty often, you need to ask die refilling of empty things and honestly seems noone cares that the lobby floor needs to be cleaned more often to shine and be pretty. If I was the manager of the Hotel this would be the first things I'd pay attention to. I will book and recommend this hotel to others anyways - great location at the beach/harbour!

This place is beautiful. Check in process was smooth but the Aircon was not great in our room. Also the rooms are very very small for the cost. The wine and cheese in the evening is a lovely touch but the breakfast is very mediocre. We did not find a great choice of food for the cost of the hotel, I think there should be a few more options. Loved how clean and well maintained the hotel was and the staff were super friendly. Would definitely stay here again as the location is also fantastic.

Quaint, rustic property right across the street from the beach. One of the coziest decorated rooms.ive stayed in for a while. Very comfortable bed and quality linens. I was only at the property for 7 hours but I'd come back. Know that it's an older (but we'll maintained) building so not very sound proof and the floors squeak. Some may like this ambiance, some may not ps they had monogrammed terry bath robes! You don't see that very often at this level :-)

So I'm coming here like others I've seen post about the horrible customer service they received from this hotel to also tell my recent experience. I had planned a trip to SB for my wife's and I anniversary. The first representative I spoke with, Mila?, was very pleasant and professional to speak with. I had requested for the nicest room this hotel had and was accommodated with a third floor room with a view of the harbor. I had asked about a floral shop to have flowers brought to the room. Mila assisted me helpfully with a nearby florist. After speaking with the florist, they advised me to check with the hotel to make sure, besides the flower arrangement, if white rose petals were ok to place in the room. I called this hotel and received the ok from Mila, but I would need to call the day of our reservation to make sure our room was ready so the florist could come in to decorate. The day comes of my reservation, and I had the unfortunate dreaded luck to speak with what I was advised later was the assistant manager Patrice/Patrica, honestly do not want to remember her name. I had inquired about the status of my room so to contact the florist next and was advised from this assistant manager that first off no one other then staff was not allowed in the room, which makes sense somewhat but not what I was advised, and that rose petals or any type of scents/parfums were not allowed in the rooms. I advised this assistant manager that I had confirmed this previously with Mila that this would not be an issue and that I had already spent quite a bit of money for this floral arrangement. The assistant manager then looks over the notes on my room and tells me, "well I see that but we don't allow rose petals in the room and I don't know what else to tell you!" I then ask for her name and promptly hang up on her mid conversation due to the lack of customer service and professionalism I was receiving from this so-called assistant manager. I arrived at this hotel over an hour later and asked to speak with this incompetent assistant manager to only be told that she had left for the day. Another associate asked if they could help and I aired my grievance about the lack of any professionalism of this assistant manager, how she was a minor but annoying inconvenience of my wife's and I anniversary and the type of training they give at this hotel due to the fact the first associate I spoke with did not mention any issue with the rose petals. Come to find out from the associate I spoke with this day, the first associate had been working for this hotel for a few years. So I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who has tried doing the same loving gesture for a significant other. Now, if this had been brought up on my initial contact, I would have taken my business elsewhere. But the fact I was getting the run around is what finally did it for me. I requested to receive my flowers and cancel my reservation. I would like to say thank you to Mila and the last associate I spoke with, don't remember his name, for your help and utmost professionalism. To that assistant manager, you are horrible and disgusting at your job. If I had spoken to you the way you did to me with your rudness and unprofessionalism , I could understand why you would speak to me that way, but I was not. Stay away from this hotel and take your business elsewhere cause they do...

Came out for a quick getaway and was satisfied with mostly everything promised. We didn't have too much interaction with the staff but the few we encountered were nice enough and quick with the paperwork, etc. Our $220 room was a bit tight but clean and modernized. The bed was actually quite comfy. The pillows could have been a bit stiffer; I thought I was going to drown in both my pillows. Perhaps some folks like it like that? The shower was nice and hot but the water pressure was a bit weak. We arrived after dark but the pool and jacuzzi were lit up with nice blues and pinks that reflected off shiny tiles that were aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I took a quick dip in the jacuzzi after dropping off my gear and the water was quite nice. I tend to prefer a little hotter water in my jacuzzis but this did the job. The jets were a bit weak though and didn't really have much effect on my back. Free breakfast is free for a reason; it's like the manager stopped by Smart & Final for bagged bagels, individual oatmeal packets, juices in bulk, and cheap cereal and arranged them in the lobby/breakfast nook in semi-cheap mini display cases. Looks nicer than my kitchen but food's the same on any given Wednesday. The only thing that might have required some "cooking" were the cold hard-boiled eggs offered as a cruel reminder of what a legit continental breakfast might have had. The coffee was just standard. All in all, no real complaints except maybe the price tag but we tried a Ramada nearby a few months ago and the lower price was definitely felt in the general inferiority of the place. So maybe this price is what it takes to get the basics in Santa Barbara? We're going to keep trying different places...

Rm 105 in courtyard: Staff has been awesome. Joseph and Dalton are stellar. No problems there. Free wine, cheese and crackers from 5-7pm. Coffee/tea are available 24/7. Good breakfast.

Room is small but modern which is nice. It's older so the carpet could be shampooed and tile scrubbed. It feels a little dirty and the cracks and crevices could use some attention. When I see those things not being addresssed it makes me wonder about other things...There was also a musty smell in our room. The walls are thin and you hear everything around you. Someone taking a shower in the morning was SO LOUD. Also the sound in the courtyard is very loud so you easily hear people talking in your room at very early and late hours. Doors shutting are also very loud. Ugh! We are on the bottom floor and the sound above us is annoying too. We paid $226 or something around that and it wasn't prime season. I wouldn't even consider coming here in the summer because if you did need to sleep, good luck, people would be coming back late at night, loud, not cool! We are across the street from the beach so I think that is why people gladly pay it but I wish it was WAY CLEANER and quieter! We won't be returning... we are dissapointed because the staff...
