Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Santa Barbara

Sharing my detailed experience here at Peet’s Wow I must say ; Carol drop the attitude first off and never correct a customers pronunciation while they talk especially with a rude unprofessional attitude . Upon entering Peet’s with my wife and her service animal . A common reminder was given about service animal access to the building , No further issue occurred after I announced to the staff that the dogs was indeed a service animal. This review wasn’t about that . This is about a staff member named Carol who woke up this morning and said to herself “m going to be rude and un professional towards paying customers today at Peet’s coffee on state st “

All coffee lovers can agree we start our day with a delicious cup of choice and often love great service to start off a busy day Nothing worse than trying to grab that morning drink and getting treated wrong with attitude from the persons talking the order.

Our family will not be returning here

This review is specifically for Marilyn (I think is her name. She has long brown hair and is in her early 20s). I was having issues with the Peets app and connectivity and wanted to redeem some points and a coupon I had. Marilyn tried to help me but I had no reception, so she helped me out with redemption on my drink. The manager (I think) with glasses overheard me talking about it to my friend and asked me what had happened, then went over and spoke to Marilyn about it like she shouldn’t have done that. What’s so sad is that Marilyn did a great job, helped me out and I would have definitely stopped by this Peets when I pass through SB again. But the manager (or lead, whoever she was) listening in to my conversation and then talking to Marilyn about the situation made me feel what she did was wrong, when she was trying to make it right.

Please give Marilyn a shout out and a raise....

Antares is the worst! Every time i am there, i witness her being constantly and openly abusive to her poor staff members who are amazing and doing their very best despite having the most condescending, nasty manager in the world. She ought to be ashamed of herself, though she probably isn't because she's so drunk on her mediocre upper management power. Lady, it's clear you hate your life, but you're low and disgusting for taking it out on your min wage staff who can't fight back. Guess this is the only place in your life where you have power or control over anything, so you abuse it. Super sad. Do better. Everyone else there is killing it and doing a great job, Nolite te Bastardes...
