𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝟓 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬. Can I curse on here? Holy $h*t the El Primo is undoubtedly, one of the greatest sandwiches I’ve ever tasted in my entire entire life. Tender meat, a thick and crunchy French roll with a nice chipotle mayo to round out the flavor – this sandwich hit every spot I needed it to hit. AND on top of that the coffee was really good too – I like the environment had plenty of seating and it was comfortable enough for me to want to spend the afternoon there, but I had things to do. If one should find themselves in the beautiful city of Santa Barbara I cannot recommend this place enough.

My favorite coffee spot in SB - simply because of the service, and the girls working there were always super sweet and welcoming every time I came in. Also, helped that I worked next door at the Ryu clinic, BUT the smoothies, sandwiches, bagels, legit everything was good every time I went and got something for lunch or breakfast. Have recommended this to anyone who comes to visit Santa Barbara and always hears such good things about them to those I recommend!

I used to love coming here, but I had moved away. Moving back soon and went back to this gem. Still as great as I remember. This place is always my go-to for a breakfast burrito and a coffee. Breakfast burrito is large enough to split with someone. Their smoothies are delicious as well!

Very poor customer service and experience. Though we are local and live nearby, it is was likely our last time at this place. Me and my son came here for breakfast on Veterans Day 2021 at 9 am. Place was empty. Simple order… bagel, muffin and lox-bagel … 20 min later lox-bagel (i.e. half of our order) was not ready while the rest was getting cold and stale. After my second check, we were told that our order was dropped on the floor and will have to be redone but they are out of bagel we initially ordered. I told them ok, but since I have bad knees (56 yr old Army Vet) I have asked them to bring it out when ready, so I do not have to come for the 4th time to check/order. The young sleepy man at the counter was very indifferent, non-apologetic and rude. I told him that we are running late for the Veterans Day ceremony at the Cemetery starting at 10 am. He could not care less and after another 10-15 minutes, our food was still not brought to us (sitting at the counter). We have canceled the remainder of order and left. They had not even care to apologies. This is not a way to treat any customer and especially a one with physical disability on the Veterans Day with a young kid... Beware when you go … or not... Handlebarcoffe is just a down the street with better and friendly service, better coffee and even plates and silverware (can you imagine? so you do not have to eat on the napkins at the dirty tables like at this place). To all Veterans; “Thank you for...

Horrible service and quality. I grew up going to the original Daily Grind on Mission and De La Vina, and this location is a complete disappointment. Don’t waste your money or time. The cashier barely noticed we were there, paid not attention to us and once we paid didn’t say “thank you” or “it’ll be right out”. She just turned right around and started laughing and messing around with her friends behind the counter. I paid $16 for 2 muffins and 2 Mochas - which tasted like they put zero mocha flavoring in.

If I didn’t know better, I wouldn’t think this location has any relation to the original location on Mission. Typically I actively avoid this location, but I was short on time and went against my...
