Daily Donuts & Sandwich Bagels — Restaurant in Santa Clara

Very dishonest business.

2 specific things

#1 - they charge an extra 50 cents to a dollar (depending on who helps you) for BOTH credit card and ATM transactions. This is clearly illegal. Coffee & a donut = $3.25, then they say "I have to charge you 50 cents for the credit card". Merchant fees are a part of business expenses, period.

#2 This is MUCH more serious & dishonest. I have patronized this business over 20 times, early mornings 75% of their clientele is Hispanic non England speaking construction workers. 99% of these guys pay in cash.

While waiting, have stood and watched. EVERY SINGLE cash transaction is NOT entered into the cash register. The employee ls (the owners) simply press the "No Sale" button which opens the cash register drawer. Then they simply do "the math" in their head and give customers their change.

NO SALES TAX!

Why do they do this?

To avoid paying sales tax.

All retail transactions REQUIRE sales tax

Sales Tax pays for Police Departments, Fire Departments, etc

So, while this particular business benefits from great & responsive Police & Fire Departments, they DO NOT PAY their fair share in the community.

Don't believe...

I am very disappointed with their customer service.

I have been their regular customer for about 3 years now. Today, the way they treated me has put me just off.

I ordered my usual veggie sandwich on whole wheat bread. While I used to love this sandwich, today I was offered completely burnt breads in the sandwich. When I complained about it, she just offered me half the bread saying that the other side is okay.

She didn’t even acknowledge that she served me burnt pieces of bread and totally unapologetic about it. On top of it, she was showing such a disrespect like she is doing me a favour by offering another half toast.

What they need right now is to start caring about their customers.

Daily Donuts looks like any other donut store people were in a mad rush to get their sweets and go to the office or home it was on a Saturday and I was picking up donuts for the employees at IMC Parts Authority the donuts were only hours old they were tasty and the price was great was about $13 for a dozen we're normally you'll pay 18 or 19 so my appreciation goes out to daily donut again we're all trying to get a good deal early we're not all rich like my neighbor who buys things impulsively her name will remain nameless have a great day art fans social distancing, eat well, try to love everybody cuz you want to be loved yourself that is so freaking important in...
