Ichiban Sushi & Bar — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

On 2/10/22 my family of four went to dine at a place we have gone to for a very long time. We were seated immediately and sat for close to 15 minutes before being offered some water. We decided what to order promptly but had to summon a waitress to take our order. After seeing others who had arrived well after us being served I got up and went to speak to the OWNER. I was told by the waiter to leave him alone cuz he has his own thing going on! I was appalled by that statement and insisted that someone explain why we had still not been served after an HOUR of waiting with ZERO attention. We had to ask for more water because of complete lack of attention. The waitress who had taken our order then says “you’re welcome to leave anytime you like sir”. WHO DO THESE TWO EMPLOYEES THINK THEY ARE? I’m a 65 year old MAN being addressed in an insulting manner by two 20 year old piles with zero work ethic. I made it clear that we came here for dinner at 6:40 pm and at 7:55 intended to do so. I went back to my seat and was served within the next 10 minutes. All 12 dishes were delivered at once and literally tossed on our table. As a topper I was billed for 13 dishes and still had the 12 plates sitting on the table to verify the overcharge. The items were all ones we had ordered previously and the size AND QUALITY were subpar. NEVER...

First time trying this place out today and I absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, service was amazing and prices are very reasonable. Definitely will be our go to place for Japanese sushi and or bento from now on. First off, service was amazing. They said patio seating isn't opened until 6pm but we arrived around 3:30 pm with a small dog so they opened up the patio seating just for us. Waitress even brought my dog a water bowl before I even requested for one! We had party of 3 and ordered 2 bento boxes (salmon, katsu, bulgogi, sashimi) , Alaska roll and baked mussels. The bento boxes are such generous portions! Comes standard with potsticker, tempura, miso soup and salad for such a great price. The sashimi was also sliced maybe 3 times larger than typical sashimi sizes, and they give you 6 pieces. All the food was very delicious, the only one we thought was "ok" is the bulgogi. Nothing special there but it's expected since this is a sushi restaurant. Sashimi and sushi roll was very fresh! We were too busy enjoying the delicious food we forgot to take pictures...will definitely go back next time and take some pics. High...

First we waited close to an hour to be seated I expected a wait but around 45min into the wait multiple tables walked up 3 tables total and told the hostess they didn't hear their names being called so she got them seated immediately. Now when she went to sit a table of 4 ahead of us we asked about our table of 2 and she asked if we didn't hear our name which was funny cause we were standing inside the whole time and I watched the other tables play that game because they waited outside.

Now we get seated and menus are given to us and she leaves no drink order nothing 15 minutes later another waiter comes and asks us if are order is ready to turn in. We gave him the menu and asked for 2 waters a strawberry lemonade and sprite. He came back with a strawberry lemonade and 1 water.

We ordered 4 rolls and waited 32 minutes but of course the couple that got seated after us was already eating their food. So when we asked if our order was ready it came from another waiter 10 minutes after the fact.

I have never done the whole review thing before until now because it was this upsetting I won't be returning...
