Blake's Lotaburger — Restaurant in Santa Fe

Fast-food joint operating at a slow-food pace. No drive-through. Would not recommend or return.

We came in about 6:30 on a Friday evening, on a tight schedule, and were the only customers in the place. Placing our order was agonizingly slow, with a cashier who struggled to describe the items on the simple menu, and had repeated misunderstandings and confusion as we placed our order. Food preparation did not begin until every item in the order was placed and paid for—and then it proceeded at a snail's pace. While appreciating that it was cooked fresh to order, which takes time, AFTER our food was prepared and we should have been on our way, we stood visibly impatiently waiting as the cook chatted with three coworkers and intermittently and slooooowly wrapped up our food to go. Maddening. Our 6-item order (3 burgers, a hot dog, fries and a milkshake) took more than 20 minutes—and after all that, a mile down the road we discovered that one of our burgers was a single instead of the double we'd ordered and paid for. An overwhelmingly frustrating experience overall.

Zero stars for service—mitigated by the fact that, after all the wait and despite the error, prices were reasonable and our meal was pretty tasty by fast...

I finally tried the Lotaburger, and it didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. The reason being is...the meat itself doesn't appear to be seasoned and if it is...its not much outside of salt and pepper...if that. It reminds me a lot of "5 Guys" burgers which IMO, is also flavorless, but people love it.

I purchased a regular Lotaburger which was just the burger with one patty, lettuce, cheese, tomato and onion. The burger was definitely fresh and made to order I just would've preferred a more seasoned beef patty. The cost was approximately $7.00 for the burger only. No fries or drinks. The price wasn't bad.

I hear the Breakfast burrito is where it's at. They have outside seating and a few tables inside, but be aware...its a grill, so it will be smokey. I didn't realize that they had a drive thru which I would've utilized.

I would try another item again, I'll just have...

Most recent visit: The good news is they finally have a drive-through. They demolished the old place & and built a new one. I have been twice, and my order was messed up both times. They upcharge for extras and don't put them in there.A drink machine was out of order. I called 4 times to report it and they never answered the phone. Prior visit: I have two friends who think this is the best location. That was not my experience today. It was just ok because the burger meat was a tad dry, and the bottom bun was hard. I also would have preferred the fries to be more crisp. The upside to this location is that i hear they consistently have bacon, and not all locations do. The soda from the fountain was perfect. The staff were very friendly and fast.The literal location, parking lot, paving, painting- basically the look and vibe of this location is extremely poor...
