For the past several years, the way I feel after eating food has become at least as important as the way I feel while I'm eating it. That's why I prioritize supporting restaurants that place a premium on food that nurtures the body while sustaining the earth. The radiant good looks of Ras Rody and his son Benji are a testament to healthy living...this food is made to cure what ails us as much as it is crafted to delight our palates. The flavors are sophisticated and bold, including a slow burn that makes it impossible to put the fork down. At the same time, this is high-level comfort food. Each dish is served with kindness, warmth, and wisdom. There is perceptible goodwill in every bite, the effects of which can be felt throughout the day. For those who are regular meat eaters, the flesh won't be missed because the chef's balance of textures and spices is so well crafted that satiety is assured. I have eaten at Ras Rody's twice this week and feel like I would be happy to do so every day. The last time I visited, I sampled a spice cake that gave me a whole new outlook on life. I can't wait until summer when I can sit in the sunshine at the picnic bench with newfound friends and listen to reggae music. In a world that appears to be in constant peril, there are still so many blessings to acknowledge and treasure. Thank you Ras Rody and Benji, for your gifts.

Delicious. Rarely do I give 5 stars to any establishment. This little food truck in a neighborhood deserves 5 stars. We ordered the Combo Plate. In that small cardboard box there is an assortment of what the Chef has prepared for the day. To look at it, there seems to be small amounts of various vegetables, beans, and salad. Plus a couple of pancakes. And yet, when the very first bite enters your palate, you will be transported to another place and time. The spices are unusual for our Western World. They are courtesy of the Jamaican experience. Very tasty. And some a bit on the spicy, as in Hot, side. And yet one cannot but continue to eat this mouth watering goodness. You can feel the vitality, the health, the nutrients, the nourishment available. I was reminded of the Ayurvedic Vegan diet. Flavors abound. And you know it will aid your digestion at the same time. I was left with sauces at the bottom that I hungrily scraped up with the pancake. We shall return here as much as time allows. Thank you. Ras Tafari !

I can't stress to you how terrific of an experience this was. A father and son run restaurant that makes such a phenomenal platter with bursts of flavor and calm earthly tones. My wife and I had the combo plate where we got a taste of everything. The hot sauce is fantastic and does have a bit of a kick. This meal felt so fresh, all natural and healthy. We also had the banana pancakes, black bean soup and the sweet potato bread pudding and my god each and every dish was a home run. Please take the second out of your day to go have such a lovely meal. Listen to the music they bump in their kitchen and enjoy the simplicity of eating good food, enjoying good vibes and meet genuinely kind restauranteers. 100/100 would always come back to enjoy again and again.
