Stepping into Redcap today is a wholly different experience from the past few years. The restaurant's interior has been completely revamped, striking a perfect balance between modern elegance and nostalgic charm. The new decor pays homage to Recap's history, with vintage photographs adorning the walls and subtle nods to the restaurant's past scattered throughout the space. At the same time, contemporary design elements, such as sleek furnishings and tasteful lighting, create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident in every corner of the restaurant. The layout has been thoughtfully reconfigured to enhance the dining experience, with cozy booths and spacious tables providing ample seating options for all group sizes. During my visit, I enjoyed a perfectly crafted 3 meat omelet that exemplified the restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor. The eggs were light and cooked to perfection, providing the perfect canvas for the fresh, flavorful ingredients within. Each bite allowed the distinct tastes of the fillings to shine through, without being overpowered by the egg itself. This balance is a testament to the skill and attention to detail of the kitchen staff. The revitalization of Redcap Restaurant extends beyond its physical and culinary aspects. The new owners have made it a priority to elevate the level of service, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and answering our questions with enthusiasm. It was clear that the staff takes pride in their work and is committed to providing a memorable dining experience. The attention to detail was evident in every interaction, from the timely refilling of water glasses to the thoughtful pacing of the meal. In conclusion, if you haven't yet had the opportunity to experience the new and improved Redcap Restaurant, I highly recommend stopping in. Whether you're a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, you're sure to be delighted by the thoughtful renovations, the exceptional food, and the warm hospitality. Redcap Restaurant is back, and it's...
Read moreWe arrived at the Red CAP Cafe around 4 pm, and there were many available parking places as well as many tables available inside. We were met with a sign which asked us to go to the counter to be seated. After walking past the available seating towards the counter, we were told by the waitstaff to seat ourselves anywhere. We chose a booth by the window, and Tracy came to our table. Tracy was great! There are many offerings, including the typical American fare as well as Tex-Mex. We explained that this visit was our first visit to Red CAP, as well as to Santa Fe. Tracy encouraged us to return each week and try something new. In the meantime, my wife chose the patty melt with seasoned fries and tea, and I chose The Big Hungry (a large burger) with seasoned fries and tea. Tracy warned me that The Big Hungry had 4 patties. I was okay with that. Our order took about 10 minutes to arrive and it arrived hot. As you may see in the photo, the patty melt arrived as you would find in any typical restaurant. The Big Hungry burger arrived relatively tall, but the patties were smaller than the sandwich buns. I used the knife to cut the burger into quarters to manage my handling of the burger. My wife liked her patty melt and was very impressed with the patty melt's sauce, which is called Jason's Sauce (Jason is the owner). I tasted the patties individually and in combination with the condiments (mustard, lettuce, and tomato). The individual burger patties tasted as if there were no spices added (salt, pepper, etc.), and that was fine for me. There were a couple of flies buzzing around our table, but they eventually left as we progressed through our meal. As we ate our dinner, more people began arriving at the restaurant, both sitting inside, sitting outside, and for takeout. As more people arrived inside Red Cap Cafe, the talking volume was reasonable and really didn't get loud like one might expect. The cost of the meals was quite reasonable. I don't believe that you'll be disappointed in balancing the portions and the cost of the meal. Overall, our visit was a pleasant one, and our meals tasted really good. We would recommend going Red CAP Cafe, and we will...
Read moreOur young waitress had a positive attitude even with the kitchens mess up but the blonde male waiter named James . He looked towards our table at least five or six times before he decided to bring us a menu. I don't know if he was high or just having a blonde moment, but he would stare at you and just look into the abyss while you're waiting for him to bring you a drink. We asked him for a water four separate times and he never brought it. The waitress waiting our table had 8 tables on her load that she was trying to wait on at once and he wasn't doing anything so we figured he could get us a glass of water. It was a simple request. This one lady asked him to bring her drinks and he brought her a menu and never returned. She got up and left and said I'm not waiting 30 more minutes for him to bring our drinks out forget this. The short older waitress and the young blue eyed waitress. I forgot her name. We're trying their best to stay on top of everything as they were very packed. An older tall skinny waitress with brown hair and glasses came over to the table. She had just clocked in and I said. I don't know what's wrong with that waiter. I guess he's having a blonde moment like i have sometimes and she got really offended and mad and stormed off. I'm sorry I call it like I see it. Sorry not sorry! If you're gonna stay over to offer your services/time to help witha packed restaurant, at least do your job where you're beneficial towards the wait staff that are currently working. If you're gonna just stare off into space , you're no use to that place. Go home and be in...
