Straw Hat Pizza — Restaurant in Santa Maria

If I could give less than 1 star I would, we ordered from there tonight after a really long day from visiting ostrichland and walking around Solvang village, we were all too tired to go to a restaurant. My hubby, daughters and I agreed on pizza, we picked straw hat because it was a place we hadn't tried yet and they had a decent deal on pizzas, we ordered the 2 medium 1 topping summer deal they had and 1Ib of potato wedges as there are 6 of us. We paid the delivery fee and even tipped the door dasher they were apparently using to deliver our order with. We're not sure if the dasher stole our wedges(sealing stickers peeled up easy) or it was poor judgment of the pizza places staff but when my husband opened the wedges 1st because it felt light, there was not even a half a pound of wedges in it. He called the pizza place to report the issue and 1st they wanted him to come in Monday for store credit, which was not possible because we don't live here in Santa Maria but all the way in Arvin, CA. Then they said they were going to make him a batch of wedges to make up for it but he had to come get them! The whole point of getting it delivered was because we were too tired to drive over there and he now had to anyway. And to top it off they only gave him a 1/2 a pound because they were closing even though we ordered our food at 8 and didn't receive it until 8:45 by the time the dasher brought it and had to report the issue 15 minutes before closing. They didn't even bother to offer reimbursement of the delivery fee or the wedges since he had to go to them. To make matters worse, the pizza was nuke like it had been sitting before it was delivered. Very disappointed in their service tonight and will not be ordering from them ever again next time...

So my story begins, I was up front ordering my pizza when this guy turns towards me and his 3 ranch sauces fly off the pizza box, drop on the floor and goes all over my legs and shoes. He said 'sorry man" and walked away. I am a female. So I said to myself, "This is how it's going go tonight. The entire place was packed, people getting super drunk. I ordered a saled bar for my daughter. I only filled the plate once. When I went back to get another plate of saled, a kid walked by and sneezed all over the saled bar. Then I watched an employee there pick up tomatoes from the ground he had gloves on. Put the tomatoes back in the saled bar and then start rearranging everything on the saled bar with the same gloves. Owners don’t have to apologize I’ve been eating pizza at staw hat locations for over 40 years and to be honest for you guys being new in the business and having one of the youngest staff you guys put over 80 percent of straw hats to shame . All reviews I’ve seen and are familiar with is unhappy people that want something for free that complain about everything to try to get over someone so disregard. You guys are doing a great job food is wonderful there’s nothing you can really do about all the getto people that are unhappy with their life so keep up the good work.
