Burger Lounge — Restaurant in Santa Monica

Outstanding burgers for a great value. The Classic was just $7.99 and a side of hand cut fries was $3.49, which is a steal in the most tourist dense spot of Santa Monica.

The customer service is amazing. The cashier even made me a special soda blend of Diet Coke with a splash of their craft Root Beer, which may sound weird to you. Just try it. When she saw I had slurped it up, she brought more to the table!

The patty itself was crispy and fresh. Not one of those perfectly round, pre-fab burgers you see around. The bun is a great vessel for the meat and doesn't disappoint. My husband had his protein style wrapped in lettuce.

I loved reading that the cows were never ridiculed. What great copy on their marketing materials. The french fries were not super hot, but still right on the money with herbs and salt.

Will definitely be back when I'm craving a solid burger in a fun, casual setting. Great place to grab a bite before a movie or Westside...

This burger lounge is a watered down product of the original ones in SD. The service is terrible, and the place is dirty. I had an awful experience starting with the "manager" at the register leaving a burger out of my guests order. I insisted we leave the burger joint we were at a block away because I said they must have burger lounge. From there I requested ranch, the girl forgot to bring that. We're still waiting on the other burger, finally the "manager" says he only rang up one and asked for the card to charge again. We waited another 15 mins for that burger to come out. I told him the scenario I previously explained, about leaving the burger joint to make sure they ate at a burger lounge chain. I asked if there was another manager I could call, and he told me to yelp it. This location is an embarrassment to the great burger...

I went to this place about a year ago and I had a delicious grilled burger. It was the best burger I've ever had in fact. I was visiting the area recently and went out of my way to make sure I had this burger again. It was a COMPLETELY different burger...I was so sad, I don't eat burgers much because it can cause me to have a crohn's attack and this WAS the only burger I've ever had worth chancing it. Now it's FRIED on a flat top and smashed into its own fat effectively deep frying it. The hard fried crust on the outside of the patty was so hard that it broke off like shards of glass right in front of the waitress and she said "I like it like that" and then she waddled off with the burger after I told her I wasn't interested...
