Forget five stars, Taqueria 3 Estrellas deserves a whole galaxy! This hidden gem in Santa Paula had me singing mariachi tunes with every bite. I dove into a fiesta of flavors with two chorizo tacos, an asada taco, and a carnitas taco. The chorizo was perfectly spiced, the asada tender and juicy, and the carnitas were melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The supporting players didn't disappoint either. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the beans were perfectly seasoned and creamy. But the true star of the show? The salsa roja! This wasn't your average watery tomato concoction. This was a thick, rich, and flavorful masterpiece that had just the right amount of kick. Thank goodness that they sell the stuff in mason jars. The best part? The lovely lady who owns the place takes the orders and cooks all the food herself! Talk about dedication and passion! You can truly taste the love in every bite. This placr is a must-try for any taco lover!

Food here was just ok but overpriced, not sure what the other “reviewers” had. Carnitas meat tasted like it was good when it was made, but didn’t really survive the reheat. Salsa is good but I’m not a fan of paying for something that is placed on the table without asking for it. We really went here to try the chile relleno but it was not available. Overall, there’s too much other good food in town to come back here.

Came to visit Santa Paula and this is the place Google recommended and it did not disappoint in fact it was one of the best places I’ve ate at in a very long time the Molcajete is a must try it was full of flavor and the fajitas were just as good Raquel and Paula were amazing friendly and welcoming such a wonderful experience.

Wow!!!, amazing, can I just say amazing. We came down from Ojai to Santa Paula to the DMV and we had just discovered Birria Tacos with consome in Soledad and have been trying them at different places. I must say these are the best we've had. So so so yummy and Sara the cook was so gracious, such a sweetheart. My husband is on Keto diet and I am dairy free, gluten free, and usually meat free recovering from breat cancer and I must say it was carb. Dairy, and meat worthy...lol.

The sauces were mouth watering and the birria consome is the best I ever had. Love, love, love. A...

Taqueria Estrella is awesome. We were driving through Santa Paula and saw it in a little strip mall. We stopped and walked in and felt transported to Mexico. It’s a humble, clean space but feels special. Everyone eating here is local. The staff is so friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! I ordered 3 tacos carne Asada and my husband ordered the chicken enchiladas. We were blown away. This is a must stop restaurant. Keep in mind that it’s small with only 7...
