I'm just going to say it and honestly with how I was treated does it really matter if it hurts anyone's feelings here because honestly how was treated here was incredibly disrespectful. There was no excuse for the Uber Eats delivery I was picking up for a customer named Michael by the way for to take as long as it did. I was promised a few minutes but I was waiting there for well over 20 minutes.
Now I didn't actually see the bag when it was there at least not at first but it seemed like as if they kind of just forgot I existed. Because the exact same woman who I first talked to when I walked in there suddenly noticed that I was still waiting and then saw on the back counter that the customer's order was right there. So it possibly could mean that it was waiting there for a very long time and they just didn't bother to hand it to me or inform me about it at all.
the thing is I found my own experience after working doordash for so many years and doing Uber Eats more recently that it's a lot harder to tell the restaurant that they are taking too long with an order because they typically have a lot less respect for delivery drivers than they do for the paying customers even though it's a very ignorant point of view to have considering that I'm still making the delivery to the customer and the customer can indeed rate the restaurant not just me especially considering I texted the customer about my experience at the restaurant and apologized in advance in case the food was actually cold in case it really was waiting there a long time and the restaurant forgot about me.
I was considering being an actual customer at this restaurant before but if this is how they treat me when I'm trying to do my job doing deliveries for other people that they can't service at the restaurant, why would I want to actually be in the restaurant paying...
Read moreCame here with a friend for her bday dinner and the food was great! Service was okay considering we had our order taken and the food didn’t take long but we weren’t asked if we wanted a drink until we were almost done eating. I tried to order. drink initially but the waitress grabbed the menu and left. We also didn’t receive any check in or help from her until we finished. At the end of the night we cleaned up and paid in cash and expected the waitress to bring back our receipt and change but we waited for a good 20 minutes while the waitress and hostess kept staring over until they picked up that we were waiting. The waitress came over and asked if we were waiting for change and seemed appalled that we said yes but she never asked i the first place and i never said to keep the change. When brought our change we didn’t get a receipt (i’m assuming because everything was already in their system). I thought it was a bit rude to assume we didn’t want change and then pass judgment once we asked for it. The place wasn’t busy when we got there...
Read moreWe came to Bag o’ Crab with high expectations and left impressed by the food—everything was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth coming back for.
While the meal itself was excellent, our service experience was a bit mixed. Lan, one of the servers, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. She provided the kind of service that enhances a great dining experience.
Unfortunately, our main server, Pamela, had a noticeably different approach. From the start, her attitude felt off, and her customer service didn’t quite meet the standard. A good example of this was the automatic 18% gratuity applied to our bill. We were five adults and a newborn baby who clearly wasn’t eating, but Pamela insisted we were a party of six, which felt unreasonable and inflexible.
Overall, we enjoyed the food and appreciated Lan’s great service, but the inconsistent treatment from our main server left us feeling a little disappointed. Hopefully, some customer service improvements can be made to match the quality...
