I ordered the meat ravioli and unfortunately it came out very doughy. I returned to the restaurant with the dish and the owner noticed me right away. He came over, asked what the problem was, and personally checked the ravioli. He offered to make another order and even had me try one before serving, but it was still not quite right.
The owner then offered to make me whatever I wanted, but since I was short on time I opted for the spaghetti with a meatball. He also suggested that I request a refund through DoorDash since that is how I had originally placed my order. He did not charge me for the replacement meal and even included a dessert at no cost.
Although my first dish was disappointing, I was very impressed with the way the owner handled the situation. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making things right. The spaghetti and meatball were tasty and the free dessert was a thoughtful gesture. I left feeling appreciated as a customer and will definitely give this place another try. I recommend this restaurant not only for the food but also for the excellent...
Read moreThis is their Italian Sub. OK but not great. Plenty of meat, has thin sliced red onion and pepperoncini. The bread was dry. I went to order, it's $17, and expected $3 back from my $20. The employee says let's see what it comes to with tax and... So sales tax and something else? What is that something else on top of sales tax??? Sales tax is a full 10% so would have been $1.70. So I said to him, on a cold sandwich to go there is no sales tax. He kept screwing around playing with the payment terminal for a while. He finally said that since I was paying cash it would be a "flat $17." So he disrespected or disregarded my comment about a cold sandwich to go being non-taxable and instead decided there would be no tax added only because I was paying cash. So I did get $3 change. How do you figure it would be doing a customer a favor to collect an extra $1.70 in tax when it is not even owed on a cold food item? The owner happened to be there sitting at a table. I said to him, you should tell your employees there is no tax on cold sandwiches to go. He replied to me, "It's the...
Read moreHands down the best place in Sonoma County. I come here frequently and have tried almost everything on the menu and it’s all PHENOMENAL.
Lou and Kim are the kindest owners I’ve ever met and are always quick to engage in friendly conversation or banter.
The staff behind the counter are the absolute best and always are quick to whip up and order, whether it’s on the phone or in person.
The specials are to die for. My personal favorites are the Friday Italian Cheesesteak and the Saturday GABAGOOL. The BBQ Tri-tip and Spicy Pulled Pork sandwiches are great choices as well.
The raviolis are amazing as Lou and Kim have carried on a tradition that roots itself in Santa Rosas’s heritage. When they have their seasonal butternut squash raviolis, I do what I can to grab a box and pair it with their brown butter sage cream sauce.
I take all of my friends and family here when they ask for a good place to eat, and no one is...
