Fountain Grove Deli — Restaurant in Santa Rosa

First experience getting lunch here was only so-so. My sandwich - The Elite - was very tasty, but incredibly messy. Every bite squished more and more of the contents out the back side of the sandwich. A toothpick or two to hold things together would've been greatly appreciated. My wife's sandwich - a regular roast beef with toppings - was described as bland and boring. The salads were very good. Whoever made the meal (my wife picked up our order, so I don't know) forgot to include the requested pickle spears and several of the toppings on my wife's sandwich.

I'll try it again and update eventually, but definitely will be trying other delis in the area...

Hambone Charlie from up on Pickledic Ridge called me and wanted to meet at the Round Barn, and give me an old Hackler's Tweetledo that his grandfather left him some years ago, so I asked him how long it's been since he's been in Santa Rosa,..40 years he said. Well, back then it was just a big red round barn up on the knoll. We hooked up at the Fountain Grove Deli, and had some pretty Awesome...

Ordered egg salad sandwich, not ready-made. Prepared for each sandwich, fresh and delicious, special seasoning included. Good deal with chips n drink. I grabbed a small bag of chips, was told to grab 2 for deal (usually large bag). Service was delightful with smiles!!! Clean inside, patio...
