Empire College is not about educating its students. I had one instructor that spent more then three quarters of the class time holding the students as a captive audience, while he talked on and on about his family. Instead covering material and moving forward to respect the adult students working their way through college, they required us to stay, even if there was no more material to learn. I had no warning of this because I was hard-sold by the used-car-salesman style counselors they employ. They must work on commission because I was lied to about both how my credits from the JC would transfer (they wouldn't because then they couldn't charge me for more classes) and what billing would look like. Billing was even more deceptive, I learned upon finishing and exiting. This school is a business first. Its expensive, and the classes are easy. If you have plenty of money and want to buy an easy A, go here...but, if you are looking to learn and apply what you have learned to a career, my suggestion would be to...
Read moreif you are lazy, or if you want to go to a school that doesnt give you any kind of accredited degree or credits this is the lazy hangout do nothing and get buy with a decent grade kinda place.
Like many private schools, its overpriced, lacks services, lacks compassion for there students and the only people that care are a few of the teachers. The teachers are decent people except the fact 99% of them are not certified by the state of California to teach at the college level.. sad
again i stress the facts, not regionally accredited which means u cannot transfer to any school worth going to there are only 3 schools in California that except there " nationally accredited credits "
I also want to point out the majority of the students are going there to become a nurse. I've attended 3 colleges and this college tops the list of drugged out students, the parking lot reeks of marijuana.
go to the jc and get a degree not a pointless certificate that means nothing to...

Empire College was not the solution.
As an experienced college student, Empire College is NOT like a four year college. The classes are sub-par, very easy to pass and not challenging.
It is also incredibly expensive.
After finishing with Empire I managed to find myself MY OWN job without their help. Now they're trying to make it look like they got me that job, and not only that they contacted my employer without my permission.
Overall I am incredibly unhappy with the experience and wish I have never gone there. Simply more student loans I...
