My daughter turned 13 a few days ago and she wanted to go to Johnny Garlic's in Santa Rosa for her birthday. We have gone to Johnny Garlic's in Dublin many times and love it there. But the Santa Rosa restaurant doesn't even come close! My wife's salad was served on a dirty plate... there were obvious finger print smudges on every side of the plate. Very unsanitary! We told the waitress about it and she tried to give some lame explanation for it. She informed her manager and the manager didn't even come to our table to apologize for it. I ordered one of their signature burgers and it came to the table cold and the garlic fries were saturated with cooking oil. We were the first customers to show up in the restaurant, so there should be no excuses for dirty plates, cold burgers and horribly cooked garlic fries. The waitress mentioned they were serving sturgeon. I avoided it because I thought all types of sturgeon were threatened species, but it turns out the white sturgeon is not. Read moreVery disappointed with the rotten potato mash. I found a rather hard black mass inside the yukon mashed potatoes. The cook said it was part of the potato. Well, duh! The rotten part! The waitress said they make their mash fresh many times throughout the day. I hope the pay more attention to their food quality. Rotten food can obviously make people sick and ruin a restaurant's reputation.
