This was my first time ever eating at a moombas pizza place. I was visiting Santa Rosa for the day and wanted to try something other than eating the normal roundtable dominoes little Ceasars mountain Mike's etc. Let me start off saying the initial experience deserved -5 stars. I called in for delivery to my hotel room and the guy was completely clueless. Took 5 times just to get my address, then 4 times to take down my number, then 4 times to get my credit card info. Then after all that was done after I ordered I asked for my total he said sorry I didn't look at total what was your order again. Lol. Then told me it would be delivered in 30 minutes. I highly doubt that but OK. So 1 hour goes by and nothing. I called. A girl answered. Told me food just got done but no driver has arrived to pick up and no idea when a driver would come. Didn't give me any confidence. Waited 30 more minutes still nothing so I went to shop in person cause my 4 year old is hungry and complaining. If you made it this far and like how are you giving this place 5 stars here you go. The manager on duty named Jared apologized right off the bat. Repeated my order to make sure it was my order and it was. Asked me if I could wait 10 minutes he would make everything so its fresh and hot. Offered me a drink while I had to wait. Then before my order was done I got a text my order was voided and got a full refund. I got fresh hot food and was completely refunded. I went in there expecting to rip someone a new a-hole and make sure every customer knew my displeasure of the circumstance but I did not need to do that. Jared the manager was so nice and handled it like a boss. I left a happy customer and will Def go back. The pizza was OK the wings were awesome the Bomba bites aka garlic bread was awesome as well. Everyone makes mistakes including me the way Jared handled the situation was top knotch. Other business need to take a page...

Came in about 9:45 pm on a Tuesday after all restaurants in Calistoga were closed. Surprisingly busy for the time.
Pepperoni slice was quite good.. not NY good but worth the 30 min drive. Should have ordered a second of that but sadly, tried a slice of the Hawaiian.. big disappointment. Let me say the toppings are very generous, which I love! I don’t know how many times the Hawaiian had been reheated but the cheese had a weird consistency, it was basically served barely warm (unlike the pepperoni slice) and the crust was weirdly doughy… not in a good way, sort of spongy (not so with the other slice).
I’d definitely try their pizza again
Where I’m less than impressed is HOW LOUD it is in here. I’m probably aging myself here but the music was so loud in the restaurant, the benches were vibrating and even the young woman taking orders on the phone had to ask that it be turned down. It was obnoxious and made it impossible to sit in and enjoy the food. Needed to get out as quickly as possible as my head was starting to hurt. That coupled with every square inch of space covered with giant LED TV screens (13 of them in a 24’ x 10 ft space… it makes dining-in really unpleasant. I don’t get it. It’s not a bar.. sure, have a couple tvs for sports games or tomorrow whatever but anyone wanting to have a conversation with a dinner companion/friends/family is S.O.L. Would never return and would not...
Read moreThis place is great! Staff has the laid back Mambos feel, great pies best enjoyed on site watching some sports. If you take one home their thin crust crisps up so nice in a hot cast iron on the stove. Mondo Mambos is an amazing choice, also the combination WITH buffalo chicken. So good. Great slice price, great brew. All around a fabulous establishment. Way to go Mambos your crushing it!
Recently they changed the points bonuses for their Toast account which makes it pretty hard to accumulate. I used to love the discounts when you could get them. Now it is 100 points for $5 off, and each point is accumulated by spending $2. In essence you have to spend $200 to get a $5 coupon!? So $200 gets you a 2.5% coupon.. not that exciting guys, and not a great or active loyalty program at this point in my eyes. I hope this can be revised to be somewhere in the middle if they were losing money here. Also all points that I had accumulated seemed to be wiped out in their new program. Definitely bummed out about this, and it will make me rethink my choices when it comes to eating a delicious pie.
Oh in addition, it seems prices on their slices are up as well....
