TLAHCO Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Santa Rosa

i don’t get it. 5 stars? nope. but someone did mention chipotle so… probably doesn’t know what real mexican food tastes like. so everything is at least $12. just wanted a couple tacos to try it out. nope. 4 lil street tacos $12. no sear on anything. put my tortillas in a tie press or something. bland, no flavor. the tortillas never saw a stovetop. the meat was just in a bin. no sear. not hot. asked me what i wanted on them. street tacos? onions and cilantro 🤷‍♂️ they try to upsell you on ingredients. this place is a joke. al pastor mushy and gritty from sitting in a bin. carnitas super soggy from sitting in a bin. never saw a grill so it had no crisp. this place is lame and not far from decent taquerias. won’t be coming back here ever. oh and i never saw the al pastor rotisserie they show on the website. maybe they hide it in the back. no matter even if they have it they are not using it right. those food photographs on their site they bought. those aren’t pictures of their food. i wanted my $30 back. super disappointed. i was never told about single tacos, i assume by the owner?, he was the only one there that looked like he knew what he was doing. i even asked because the menu is pretty confusing and there was definitely no listing for that option. not that it matters. for my taste and experience there is no reason to return. good luck. ps you just lost a star for making it seem like it was my fault i didn’t know about the single taco...

I have had the pleasure of visiting Tlahco Mexican Grill multiple times, and I must say, it never disappoints! Thankful to my son to turning me on to this spot- I was very impressed. We used to come to this location at lunch when it was Jalisco’s and worked at Kaiser down the road. Very clean interior (with seating) as well as a covered patio for outdoor dining. My order was ready when I arrived and after the friendly staff member handed me my food, she also gave me a bag for chips & containers for salsa (complimentary). It’s hard for me to resist a salsa bar and this one had much to offer. I brought home the avocado salsa.
