I recently stopped by Tamales Mana hoping for a quick, simple bite—just one red pork tamale and a side of beans. I didn’t want the lunch special, just those two items. However, the woman at the counter insisted on ringing me up for the lunch special, even though I politely declined multiple times. Despite trying to communicate clearly (even in Spanish), I felt dismissed and rushed, which made the interaction a bit uncomfortable. Instead of paying around $8 with tax for a tamale and beans, I ended up spending $11, supposedly including salsa and crema. Unfortunately, the salsa was nearly nonexistent, and some creama, but they charge additional for it. The beans were bland and lacked seasoning—just a flat, flavorless side that didn’t add anything to the meal. As for the tamale, it was mostly masa with very little filling. The pork was scarce and underwhelming in flavor. It was so dense and dry with excess masa that I ended up feeding most of it to my chickens. Overall, I found the service to be a bit rude and inattentive, which made the experience even more disappointing. I had hoped for a small, authentic meal but was met with mediocre food and poor customer service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Best tamales in Sonoma County. They have a cart too. Warning, due to their popularity they can run out of flavors and they are Closed On Sundays. All flavors are really good and filling. I have had most of the tamales and they are deliciously tender (don't overlook the pinapple). Good masa to filling ratio. For people who don't like spicy, they are very mild unless you put the orange hot sauce on them. Very reasonably priced. The rice is fluffy and tasty and the beans have great texture and flavor. They have a few tables to sit at (it will probable get very hot inside during the summer). Located at the old Mariachi's (no, they don't have the TV any longer to watch soccer on) Good People, addictive tamales.

The times I’ve gone to Mana a nice man approaches and helps you respectfully but a few times a lady is there and she’s really rude to people. She wasn’t rude to me but she was rude to the other people who were next in line. She has no patience to serve the customer. She looks like the owner but be more respectful to your customers. If you want authentic tamales every morning there’s a man who sells them in front of the LOLAs on Petaluma Hill rd and people...
