Bed and bed frame sagged unattentive staff that made sure you know they don't care ( and showed heavy signs of being racist towards) lied about price I got a direct quote after all fees and I went in there and that was all of a sudden my starting price again but even that didn't match they make sit up on their own including and being another one of the examples but a Spanish couple ask for extra pillows we asked for one as well seeing there was an odd number of pillows for an even number of people and we were promptly told to go to hell in a very rude manner too much like when I asked for a courtesy hour at checkout because they may have the brilliant decision to have Landscaping show up with leaf blowers at like 8:30 in the morning going for the better part of an hour right next to my room and all around so when asking for the courtesy hour they asked me what room number before they would answer the question THEN told me no and getting very anxious as I just try to explain why I might be a few minutes behind was told I can have 11:30 as if he was bestowing a gift upon me but immediately was threatening to charge us for the whole day if we're even one minute late there was no breakfast instead they gave a Sunny D and a couple of breakfast bars in the room which is kind of nice but I like being able to get an actual breakfast better not to mention the refrigerator stunk The Smokers policy was ridiculous I don't mind not smoking in a room but these people are a joke oh yeah no hot water like on full blast was room temperature and the extra large tile that I would have used looks like it had stains that didn't wash out or something I don't know I didn't want to touch it K looks like dried come stain or anything but got distracted by the cockroach which they denied) and apparently I shouldn't have asked for fresh towels either horrible experience if you want something in this price range it's just a comfy spot without spending $200 go to the Travelodge there much much better in fact the only reason I went there is because the Travelodge was full (Ask for Famal) Oh yeah I guess one good point is they have a Keurig machine but use your own water because the water there tastes horrible even ran through a Keurig like I could taste in the coffee later but enough bitching I've already used more breath than these people are worth

I waited a couple of minutes then saw a sign saying "ring night bell once for service"-- which I assumed meant they wanted me to ring. Well, fellow travelers-- don't ring that bell 😅. It's a trick. Lol.
As soon as I ring it, I see a man huffing and puffing up the sidewalk who starts screaming at me. Can't understand him at a distance. Explodes into the lobby all red-faced yelling at me-- why did you ring the bell? Why can't you wait? On and on. He gets behind the desk and asks "was it just one?" I say one night, one person and he says "no did you wait just one minute?" Omg, he's still on it.
I point to the sign and say I was just trying to follow instructions and he's grumbling, talking about how it's just him and his wife isn't there. Then he says "do you always get a kingsized bed?" which made me feel really uncomfortable since traveling alone. I mean no dude, I just picked the cheapest one in the AAA app?
By "service" on ringing the bell, is this an insult service? For people who enjoy being screamed at by this Mad Hatter dude? I would have left but I already paid and didn't want to struggle with getting refunded.
This morning I left at 7, no one in lobby/locked but no way in heck was I going to ring the bell again 😂. Pushed my key as far as possible into the slot under the window and got on the road. On to my scenic beaches drive back to Humboldt and home.
Maybe this place would be fine as long as you don't ring the bell! He might be perfectly agreeable otherwise.

Read moreWorst experience ever. The hotel staff was extremely rude and invasive in my privacy. I will never be coming back to this hotel EVER AGAIN I RATHER STAY IN A MOTEL 6 period. When I came into check in they told me to keep it down as if I was checking in with a lot of people. The hotel staff member also questioned me about planned guests, I let her know i would have someone over but felt super uncomfortable for even being questioned. I got my key and went to my room she gave me a paper with the internet password and when I went the next day to get the other one I was questioned about how many devices I would be hooking up to it, again with the questioning I responded saying "does it matter?" The worst moment was when my friend came over with her sister and brother to bring me some food, they called me before they could even sit down. When I answered the phone the hotel staff member started questioning me on how long they would be and told me I couldn't have visitors and she hung up on me before I could respond. I have never had a hotel doing this. They made me feel extremely uncomfortable and watched. I don't want to say race was a factor but they really didn't treat caucasian guests the way they treated me. I WILL NEVER BE STAYING IN THIS HOTEL AGAIN AND I NEVER DO REVIEWS BUT I WILL DO ONE FOR THIS HOTEL BECAUSE I RATHER SAVE ANYONE ELSE FROM THIS DISCRIMINATION AND DISRESPECT I RATHER STAY AT A MOTEL 6 NEXT TIME I EVER VISIT SANTA ROSA...... SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ZERO STARS FOR THIS HOTEL AND STAFF....
