Straight to the point: I ordered ahead using the Starbucks app, choosing the drink I always get — it’s saved in my favorites: Pink Drink with light ice, strawberry purée, and extra inclusions. I regularly order the same thing at the store near my work, and it always comes out just right.
This time, I got there about five minutes after ordering — well within the app’s pickup window. The store wasn’t busy, and the baristas were casually chatting. I was told “we’re working on it,” but I saw the ticket being printed only after I arrived. It hadn’t even been noticed until then. I’m not someone who gets upset over timing when a store is busy — the issue here was simply a lack of attention.
The drink was packed with ice (not “light”) and the customizations I paid for were clearly missed. The flavor was weak and not what it should’ve been.
I’m not sure what went wrong today, but it was a really disappointing experience. I think I’ll stick with my regular Starbucks from now on — they consistently get it right. Hopefully this helps the team on shift reflect...

I am prior law enforcement, I am currently battling heart failure and have very specific routines. All I want to do is come in, sit down, scroll on my phone and get a drink. I was approached today the moment I came in and sat down (I had the Starbucks app open) and was told I either needed to order or leave. I was shocked and absolutely felt disrespected and treated as a transient. So I went up to the employee with a very respectful demeanor and tried to ask about the situation, from my understanding Starbucks is very supportive of the ADA policies and has always been an advocate of them. The other half, though, is not as nice. The workers can be mean and short. The drinks will be completely wrong. Usually when the drinks are wrong I don’t ask for a new one because I either don’t have time or I’ve already left (I always mobile order). Whenever I do ask them to make another one, it’s usually fixed. Except, of course, when they have new workers there. For whatever reason, this Starbucks is always getting new employees. These new employees never seem to look at the drink customizations.
