We went there around 6pm on Tuesday, we only waited about 10 mind for a table, not to bad, and to be expected around dinner time, the real problems started after we were seated, it took our waiter about 15 minutes to even come ask us about drinks, after placed our drink order we get brought back 1 of the 2 drinks we ordered, never got the 2nd one, didn't ask for it because by the time we saw our waiter again our food was already up, and wrong, I asked for the "Flamethrower" burger it's one that's on the menu, didn't ask for any changes or customize it in any way, so it should be a double patty burger with pepper jack cheese, fried jalapeno, and siracha mayo. Well I got a plain double burger with american cheese, and before I could even say anything our waiter was off to a different table, now the only reason I didn't go with one star is because I did end up getting my food fixed by a different waiter that happens past us, but by the time we got it fixed my wife had already finished her pasta. Her pasta that being the only thing she had eaten that day, so it had to be the thing that cause her food poisoning. after I finished my burger that was very well done, like almost burnt levels of done, our waiter showed back up and asked if we wanted refills on our drink that had been empty half way threw the very dry burger, I say yes, he asks what it was I say dr pepper, he brings back a diet coke, and is gone again before I could even say anything, after that I had enough and just wanted to leave, but he never showed back up for me to get the check, I had to flag down a different waiter to get it for me, luckily it was the same guy who fixed the burger for me. Sadly my wife did still end up getting food poisoning, so I can't only blame the bad review on the bad waiter it's also who ever made undercooked pork and over cooked burgers. But the one good waiter who sadly I didn't get his name saved it from being a 1 star review. But still very...
Read moreThree Kings Public House, located at #40 Ronnie’s Plaza in South County, offers great-tasting, healthy food and is a worthwhile dining experience for folks who care about their health and nutrition. The decor celebrates the kingships of Elvis, Henry VIII and a certain overfed ape. The St. Louis suds brewing tradition is also on display. Wait staff is efficient and courteous.
I lunched on the miso kale salad with a salmon topping. The salmon was cooked to order (this establishment understands the word “rare” 😀), and the miso dressing was not too sweet. I could actually taste the miso, usually made with fermented soybeans and providing a very healthy dose of good bacteria, which aid per the short digression you are about to read. The microbiome is a fascinating topic; something like 90 percent or more of the cells found in your gut are of bacterial origin. In addition to helping you digest your food, there is growing evidence that they regulate your cells at a molecular level, and may help ward off a variety of diseases that have become way too common, such as metabolic syndrome. Kale, as a dark green veggie, supplies lots of essential nutrients (including vitamins A, C, and K) and dietary fiber, keeping your digestive track working and feeding the microbiome (dietary fiber is sometimes known as a prebiotic, something needed to nourish your personal floral assembly). Salmon, meanwhile, is rich in heart-healthy iOmega 3’s. Who said you can’t eat healthy at restaurants?
The location in Ronnie’s Plaza is the only downside, as it just doesn’t have the high-energy buzz of some places in the City or out west on Clayton Road. But, this is just my observation.
Still, Three King’s comes with my recommendations for a healthy and...
Read moreI debated on writing this, but I just want everyone to beware of who they give their business to. We ordered from Three Kings Public house at least once a week. We loved their gluten free food. A few weeks ago, I ordered a salad ( they forgot the steak but, least of my issues ) and but down on a piece of grill or rock. I have nerve damage in my face, it automatically triggered it. I had severe swelling the next day as well. I called to complain and they said they would give me a gift card. A woman who is the directions of operations called me and asked me to send photos right away ( they sent them to a lawyer right away ) since I believed at first that my tooth was chipped. They even wanted photos of my swollen face the next day. I asked to speak with the owner, at this point I never said I wanted to get lawyers involved or anything, but they right away did. They couldn't even apologize for the fact I bit down on a piece of grill or rock, when I asked about just having them pay the $400 I had to spend on X-rays, visits and steroids ( it sprained my jaw ) they refused saying I needed to soeak with my lawyer, which I was forced to get because they just couldnt simply apologize and lawyered up right away. I don't think it's worth it to sue them for $400. Just beware of who you eat with, regardless that this was a horrible mistake; the owner not even being able to apologize directly is just...
