Whataburger — Restaurant in Saraland

This Whataburger in Saraland is consistently great! I've never eaten inside, but I've been through the drive-through here many times, and at all hours (because they are awesome enough to be open 24/7). Unlike other fast food restaurants (which many times take just as long or even longer in the drive-through, only to end up still getting cold food) the food here is ALWAYS HOT, fresh and delicious. No cold fries, no stale buns, or heat-lamp dried-out disappointments. Even the ketchup is great (regular and spicy) and is in packets that are large enough to actually dip your fries in, and easy to open. Other restaurants give you those annoying, indestructible little micro-packets that hold exactly enough ketchup for someone with 3 fries. Got more than 3 fries? Better get started trying to chew open about 8 more packs to get you started. The egg on their breakfast biscuits is an actual fried egg, not a square-pressed chunk of who-knows-what. Who else in the fast food industry does that? Whataburger simply rocks. The cherry on top? So far, not one messed up drive-through order! Pro-tip: Ask for a mushroom swiss burger. They are a limited-time-only offer so they aren't always on the menu, but the people here are great and they'll still make one for you if they have the stuff (and they've had it every time I've asked). Do that one time, and you'll never go anywhere else...

Okay, ive been to different whataburgers, what i dont get with this one, its in a prine location,, there were several frontline workers and the frontline/ drive thru part where you pick up your foid. The gentleman who took my order was pleasant but the young lady who gave me my order 9 minutes ago was awful. I ordered #13 with honeybutter and a sprite, why my sprite had little ice and hardly any enough ice, my box wasnt even closed, if she wasnt feeling up to drive thru they should’ve had her do something else, this the second time ive come to this one and its always the person passing the order out either in a bad mood or they dont want to work in drive thru. Food was fresh n hot but whatsburger check on your staff to make sure the few minutes im there ir any customer we feel appreciated, i wont be visiting this one any time soon but its the only one i’ve experienced this with everytime i come.And why have all those people eitger bagging orders and dont even close the boxes but they need to teach drink protocol, i worked at Arbys, Burger king. mcdonalds, checkers. the drinks dont seem cold enough without enough ice, esoecially tea, tea is brewed and warm so mire ice will melt.Not enough ice drink wasnt even cold enough, i didnt turn around to go inside becayse of criwd and i have to get to my...

What a disappointing visit to Whataburger in Saraland! First, when entering the restaurant, there were numerous signs posted EVERYWHERE about their efforts to provide a sterile and clean environment in response to Covid. This included mask wearing and multiple bottle of sanitizer placed around the restaurant. As I ordered my burger and fries, I noted that the cashier wore her mask improperly, but I was like ok, not a big deal. You see that all the time. As I waited for my takeout order, I could easily see into the kitchen. Of the 6+ employees in the kitchen, all but 1 had their masks either not covering their noses, or even pulled down around their necks. As I waited and waited and waited, shift change took place and every employee came in without a mask. So, obviously all the large posted signs at the entrance about how the company cares about your safety is BS. I left after 15 mins of waiting and without my food. I just gave up! The highlight of my time in there was the other masked patron who was also waiting a lengthy amount of time. She looked at me as she left and very sincerely said, "I hope you have a very blessed day!" Well, that blessed day did not include a Whataburger. No more Whataburger for me!
