We went here for the first time and dined inside for breakfast. We couldn't decide between a few menu items so my husband and I ordered 3 items and split the 3rd and took a bit of everything home as leftovers. He got the croque madame which had the perfect amount of Swiss cheese on it and a beautifully cooked egg. I got the Normande crepe which had caramelized onions, apples, walnuts, and brie cheese. This was out of this world! Lastly we split the vegetarian quiche which had leeks, bell peppers, Swiss, and onions. The flavor on this was super great and I really liked the crust because it was thinner and flaky. Perfect! The house salads we got were yummy with what we think was a white balsamic type of dressing. Very flavorful and fresh. The home fried potatoes were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, my husband who is a potato officianado said they were 10/10. Fresh warm baguette with butter for table service was delicious as well. They even have a bakery counter for takeout if you'd like, which we will definitely peruse next time. Will be returning here for sure!

My husband and I loved this place!! We went in July and I am still looking forward to coming back to eat there! Everything is perfect! From the decorations, hearing the waitresses speak in French, the fresh and delicious food, the baked goods, and their customer service!! We were treated so nicely and got lots of help when ordering our food as well as great recommendations from their bakery section before we left- we felt very welcomed. The food was amazing and flavorful! So much you want to keep eating and eating LOL. Even their fruits were so tasty, crisp, and fresh. I highly recommend their croissant French toast if your looking for something sweet for breakfast- it wasn’t even soggy or too sweet, just perfect. If I could give this place a 10, I would!

Absolutely lovely authentic French bakery/café/ restaurant with great downtown Sarasota views that offers both indoor and outdoor (recommended) seating. Came in to order takeout with a 10% discount coupon mailed to my mother who moved nearby recently. Seems family owned, friendly staff, and a wide selection on their menu! Known best for its extensive bakery options and breakfast and lunch, but also serves dinner. Excellent quiches and super rich soups. I plan to visit again for a leisurely sit for brunch outside with a savory crepe or panini. Beverage options are also very impressive! A little pricey, but expected for the area. The Croissant Sandwiches seem the best deal with sides included. Inexpensive metered parking available.

During our recent trip to Sarasota from Houston, my husband and I had the pleasure of dining at C'est La Vie, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. As foodies who love to explore different culinary delights, we were thoroughly impressed. We started our culinary journey at C'est La Vie with their Sunday brunch, and it was amazing. We were so enamored that we returned later that same day for dinner, which turned out to be the highlight of our visit. The attentive service from the owner and staff made us feel truly welcomed—they seemed to genuinely enjoy serving their guests, which added a special touch to our evening. Highly recommend C'est La Vie for anyone looking to indulge in exceptional French cuisine!
