So it was a nice place and the bartenders were nice however there is a sign on the wall that says if you have an open tab(which I did) a gratuity of 25% is included in your bill when you cash out. So when I went to cash out my total was high and it seemed like the gratuity was there so I selected “no tip”. As I was exiting the place the bartender asked if I meant to leave no tip and in the moment I thought maybe I was in the wrong and maybe they didn’t add it in but thinking back tonight they definitely did and wanted more of a tip! So I paid wayyy more than I should have!! Also the fact they went up to me after I paid asking for a tip made me uncomfortable. That has NEVER happened to me before. And then when they went to re charge my card for the tip they asked if it was the same card I used to pay because the chip was worn and I physically showed them that was my only debit card. I had the impression he thought I was trying to scam them from a tip. Well my card worked after a few tries and they got an additional tip. It was a shame because it was supposed to be a good night out but I felt harassed. Maybe take the sign down at the bar if you didn’t charge my card the gratuity even though it was an open tab. Will not...

I went last night 2-8-17 for the second or third time. 4-6 people in the entire place and bar staff that acted like I was lucky they would take my drink order and I was blessed to be in their presence. It took the bartender 5 minutes to even acknowledge my friend and I were there even though the place was empty and most drinks are the price of a meal. Their are enough snobby people in Sarasota so it's more then a little annoying when the paid staff act like they are too good to serve you when that's what they are there to do. It could be I didn't have they status quo lumberjack shirt and beard to be part of their club. Their are plenty of places for me to spend my hard earned cash if I want a drink in Sarasota and it won't be at this place. Note to condescending bar staff : you are in the hospitality business, If you can't be hospitable, find another line of work. I know you hipster kids think it's cool to act too cool for school but you get paid to be engaging and friendly. I would give it negative stars if I could. This is the first review I've ever written so if I'm still thinking about it the next day, you know it...

This happened a couple of months ago but still needs to be said for pickup to hear. My friends and i were out to celebrate her getting engaged. I asked for a long island iced tea and the bartender apologized and said she did not have iced tea. Boyfriend and i laughed so hard up until we realized she was serious. we inform her that a long island iced tea does not actually contain iced tea and she asks us what the ingredients are and it included sour mix. she said she was out of sour mix. Got it, we cannot he helped. My friends show up and makes a margarita and a whiskey sour, no problem.

Granted, she was busy and she was weeded, i sympathize for that, even if we couldn’t drink.

But what happened next was not okay.

She was so busy that she wanted to close the outside but our table just so happened to have been the center of the garage door, so instead of coming up and asking us to move, she just close it in the middle of our table, knocking over my boyfriends very expensive vape pen and breaking it.

We tried so hard to give this place a shot, but they truly do not give a care about...

Fantastic Happy Hour Spot! We initially stopped in for a drink and an appetizer, but it quickly turned into dinner—and we’re so glad it did! The tacos were incredible, offering a great selection of meats, and the ceviche was fresh with just the right amount of kick. The burger? Cooked to perfection. And let’s not forget the bartenders—top-notch service with a smile! Update: We couldn’t stay away! Returning for our favorite happy hour did not disappoint. The espresso martini and Manhattan were spot on, and once again, we couldn’t resist the tacos with four different meats—easily the best around. I was pleasantly surprised to find a delicious chicken salad on the happy hour menu, and of course, the ceviche was a must-have again. If you’re looking for an unbeatable happy hour, this is the place to be!

A very happening bar right on Main Street. Narrow but deep so it can hold more people than you think. Grab a seat along the line bar or one of the tables. They have a large selection of drinks, hard liquor, etc, and many good food items. We were there on St. Patrick's day and their corned beef was really good and just what we needed. It has a number of TVs above the bar, so it's good for watching sports. The service was perfect. Attentive but not pushy. Will be back here.

We enjoyed our brunch at Cask, Karen and Jake took excellent care of us from recommending the best of but also making sure we were always taken care of no matter how busy they were. I was impressed by the service I viewed them giving all guest as this is important in any establishment. Matt Ragas the jazz singer/ band brought an ambiance that will have me and my friends coming back for more. Thank you for an amazing Sunday Cask!
