So nice to have a new place In this location.
They've done a phenomenal job decorating and rehabbing this place. Unbelievable amount of details to make it look nice. Even the bathrooms were spot on with faux finish on the stall locks lol.
Would be a good date night place if you were looking for mexican, nice vibe.
The staff was all very friendly and when something was missed somebody else would figure it out before we said anything and make it right. There were a few stumbles in the service but just what would be expected having been open only a few weeks. I imagine in another couple weeks it will be a flawless well-oiled machine. The staff very much so seemed to help each other out and have good morale. Some reviews discussed service being slow. That wasn't our experience. It certainly wasn't rushed or fast like American Mexican restaurants. I enjoyed it, it felt like an opportunity for enjoying a nice meal and taking in the pretty environment. If it was longer it might have felt like slow service but that wasn't hard experience.
Every dish we had was enjoyable. Nothing was too salty. The cocktails were tasty, attractive, and appropriately strong.
They have a very nice selection of tequilas, mixed drinks, wine and beer. They had two for one wine special when we were there.
The house salsa is nice and complex and flavor without too much salt or heat. The empanadas were good but they're definitely not close to the best in town We would probably choose a different appetizer. The guacamole trio was wonderful I have never had grilled pineapple paired with guacamole. Totally delicious.
Both entrees were wonderful with huge portions enough for several meals again well spiced without too much salt. The rice was very fragrant and the black beans were rich in flavor without being too heavy.
The churros for dessert we're also very good served with nice rich creamy ice cream that was smooth with no crystals.
We will definitely be going back. Encourage you to give them a try. Also happy to say they're not likely to be competition for Mr tequila which we also love. They're very different styles of food It would be like comparing New York pizza to Sicilian pizza They both can be delicious but they're not...
Read moreWe have visited Cass Patron on several occasions, consistently impressed by the quality of the food. It has always been a culinary treat, with flavors that linger long after the meal is done. Unfortunately, our recent experience has left a sour taste in our mouths, thanks to the utterly disappointing service.
Last night was the culmination of our frustrations. From the moment we were seated, it felt like our waiter had forgotten about us. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, we had to repeatedly ask for drink refills, which should have been a simple part of the service. When our food orders arrived, they were incorrect. Instead of taking accountability, our waiter merely laughed it off and dismissed our concerns, telling us to "enjoy" our meals, which was anything but enjoyable.
What struck us as particularly unfair was witnessing the table next to us receive prompt assistance. They also had a mix-up with their order, but were given complimentary cocktails and desserts as a gesture of goodwill. Meanwhile, we were left feeling ignored and undervalued.
When we finally decided to leave, the situation went from bad to worse. Our waiter mistakenly added items to our bill, which prompted further confusion and frustration. Instead of resolving the issue, he questioned whether we were sure about the items we hadn’t ordered, which felt patronizing and dismissive.
In desperation, we requested to speak with a manager, but our waiter never followed through. The lack of accountability and customer care was astounding. We ended up paying for a meal we didn’t order and left the restaurant feeling disheartened.
Overall, while the food at Cass Patron is undeniably excellent, the service we encountered was unacceptable. It’s disheartening to see such a great restaurant marred by poor service. As much as we cherish the flavors of their dishes, the experience we had has led us to conclude that we will not be returning. We hope they can address these service issues, as it would be a shame for them to lose loyal customers over such...
Read moreWish I could say more about the food, but we had to take it to go as we had already been waiting an hour for it to arrive. The service we experienced during our visit was absolutely terrible. We waited only about 10 minutes for a table, but once we were seated it took 15 minutes and a visit to the hostess stand for them to come greet us to get our drinks. Not to mention the server seemed annoyed that she had to wait on us rather than apologetic that we had been waiting for quite some time for drinks. We were there with our two young kids, and they were begging us for water at that point which I thought would come out relatively soon after we ordered a drink, however, it took another 15 minutes to come out. I could understand a 15 minute wait for a cocktail but for the kid waters to take 15 minutes on top of the 15 minutes we had already been was ridiculous.
We ordered our as soon as we could and started with table guacamole, hoping that things would change for the better however. It took another 20 to 25 minutes for them to come over and make the guacamole and then 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our meals to come out. We went ahead and just asked the waitress to get them to go and unfortunately none of us ate as we needed to get the kids home as we had already been waiting an hour and a half since we first arrived.
The food we did have was lackluster. The salsa that came with the chips was flavorless and while the table side guacamole was OK, we added quite a bit of salt to it. Overall, we waited quite some time, the staff was mediocre at best and not attentive in the least, and we left with to go food that we ate cold at our home. With the amount of Mexican restaurants in the area, we will certainly be dining elsewhere. This is a one and...
