Restaurant Information: Percoco's Pizza & Pasta 8131 Lakewood Main St Ste M101 Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202 (941) 210-4101
Main Question: Is the food worth the price? Answer: With clean dishes, possibly. Without clean dishes, no.
Food: We had soup, salad, a specialized vegetable pizza, carbonara, Italian beef and a raspberry sorbet.
Salad: Amazing looking. Tasted wonderful. Very much enjoyed the salad.
Vegetable Pizza: Mixed reviews. My guest loved the pizza: 10 out of 5 star pizza. Me, while the portion size of the pizza was very impressive, the taste of the pizza was no better than that of any other average pizza.
Soup: Delectable. It was quite oily. The bowl was smaller than what is received at other restaurants, but was the perfect size for the soup.
Carbonara: Perfect blend of spices, butter, cleaned shrimp, pancetta, raw egg and noodles. Delicious.
Italian Beef: Left something to be desired. While the Italian beef was delicious, it is expensive for the portion received. The small portion size reminded me of a sandwich I received at Jimmy John's, the first time I went there and ordered their $2.00 special. If you are a big eater, do not order this dish without ordering a second entree.
Raspberry Sorbet: This was the shining star of the meal. No dirty dishes. Wonderful. It was beautiful looking. This is what other raspberry sorbet desserts strive to become.
Water: Clearly filtered. There's no need to order bottled water because they take care of cleaning the water prior to getting it to the table.
Atmosphere: It is cozy inside. The restaurant owners have done a really nice job decorating.
Cleanliness: This is where this restaurant needs a lot of work and where the restaurant is going to lose stars in this review.
Table had three dirty cups. The cups have ridges on them which catch food and worse, detergent if not rinsed thoroughly. The servers are aware of this issue as she mentioned she doesn't let some of her other regulars drink out of those cups because of this issue. Most of the silverware that was delivered in front of us had food caked on it. This includes the utensil used to serve the pizza.
I asked for a trial of the soup for which they obliged and the spoon had a big chunk of food caked on the handle.
I pointed this out to the server and explained that anything that she brings out will have pictures taken. She promptly removed the spoon. The pizza spatula came out and was attempted to be cleaned before it was delivered to the table, but had smeared food across it and caked food on it which means they rinsed it, but did not clean it well.
I opened my napkin to a silverware pack and the spoon handle had food stuck to it.
The bathroom was uncleaned. This is where the employees wash their hands. There was hairs on the sink, the faucet is starting to get bacteria buildup around the edges and there were paper towels over the floor.
Service: The service was wonderful. The manager came over to greet us, the chef came over to greet us and surprisingly comped our food, which I did not expect. That was a wonderful surprise because I didn’t think the food was bad enough to not pay for it, but he felt differently. I thank him.
Price: Not inexpensive. The food is very good and you will pay for the location and taste.
Recommended: I cannot recommend a place that is unsanitary with food caked on a lot of the dishes placed in front of me. Old food caked on dishes served at a restaurant is not sanitary. Whether it is the bacteria or the very dangerous dish detergent that will get soaked into that food and that food or flakes of that food that fall onto the dish getting ingested, it is bad.
Advice: When opening a restaurant and charging the price of the location in Lakewood Ranch, ensure dishes are clean, food is excellent, bathrooms are spotless and all items put in front of the customer...

I recently dined at Percoco's Pizza & Pasta in Lakewood Ranch, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I've had! The area is absolutely charming, with a street lined with cute shops and plenty of dining options, but we definitely chose the best one.
As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere captivated us with its perfect blend of Pizzeria styling and modern touches, accented by some really cool art. The hostess greeted us with a warm smile and seated us right away, setting the tone for an enjoyable evening.
Our server, Veronica, was fantastic! She brought us cold ice water and immediately made us feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, she took the time to share the restaurant's story, including the owners' backgrounds and the inspiration behind the menu. Her confident smile assured us we were in for an incredible experience.
We decided to sample a variety of flavors by ordering eight individual slices, and when they arrived, they were beautifully presented on a pizza platter. Each slice was a delight, showcasing unique and delicious options. Throughout our meal, Veronica was attentive, ensuring our drinks were full and we had everything we needed.
To top it off, the manager, Matt, stopped by to chat and gather our feedback. He was super friendly and shared more about the restaurant, including recommendations for other local spots to try on our next visit.
Overall, Percoco's Pizza & Pasta exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a fantastic setting. Can't...
Read moreMy husband and I ate here last night and loved it. We will definitely go back. Wait time was around 40 minutes but not a big deal as we were able to get a drink to go at their outside bar window and walk Main Street and listen to music. The time went fast. We had a very attentive waitress. I ordered one of their specialty drinks which had watermelon in the name, made with Rum. It was good. My husband ordered a beer. In another review I had read that the Percoco’s salad was very good so we ordered it and split it. They kindly brought it out on two plates - two good-sized lettuce wedges, two hard boiled eggs, some type of meat that tasted like bacon but with a different texture with a kick and a nice dressing. We then ordered a supreme pizza and I believe there’s only one size - HUGE! While we waited for our food, the owner came over to our table to check on everything and just chat. He told us he had a new Pilsner if we’d like a sample. We did and two small cups of beer were sent over. I’m not a beer fan but it was really tasty. Anyway, service was great, friendly staff, place was clean, tables were cleaned off quickly, prices reasonable and the pizza was delicious. What more do we want? We want to go back and try some of their...
