The Empanada Girl's Kitchen — Restaurant in Sarasota

This is a gem of a store!! Great selection of fresh pasta and sauce. We first tried their fresh pasta at the Farmer's market in downtown Sarasota and now can't go back to boxed pasta... it's a splurge, but worth it if you are craving good comfort food in pasta, lasagna and the like. What we didn't know is that the empanadas we also love getting at the Farmer's market come from the same place. When we went to the store (to get more pasta) we were pleasantly greeted by a counter full of delicious empanadas. We ate some there, and took some home to freeze. I could not be happier that my husband randomly found this place and brought, among others, empanadas filled with Blue Cheese, Mediterranean Beef, and Cheese and Sweet Onion home to try. OUTSTANDING. Just delicious, the 100% real deal, conveniently located in the plaza South of Trader Joe's on the Trail, spotlessly clean and tons of choices for empanadas, gorgeous fresh pastas and prepared dishes, Linzer cookies (!!). Truly Argentine flavors from an incredibly talented chef. Do yourself an enormous favor...

Such a wonderful experience! The empanadas were incredibly delicious, and there were so many options! The array of fresh and frozen pastas was incredible as well. We are staying in a hotel not far and dont have a kitchen but we wanted more to take with us - the woman working was so kind and boiled some of the pasta for us to be able to take for later. She went out of her way and it was so sweet. Would recommend this place to ANYONE in the area weather they're passing through or...
