Leaving a bad review for something very specific. I always order the Camaron burrito. This word is very hard for my white Jewish husband to say/pronounce. When he has tried to order the Camaron burrito he struggles so much to say that word that the person taking the order hasn’t even been able to understand him (this is over several different visits). I let my husband know the direct translation of that word is “shrimp” so it is not such a struggle to order.
This place has a major defect on their menu where a “shrimp burrito” is apparently a completely different burrito than a “camaron burrito.”
I called them to ask for a replacement because I can’t eat eggs and explained we said “shrimp” because that word is the same as Camaron but translated. I ordered two of these. I had to throw them away because they would not exchange them.
They said they’ve never had a problem with this confusion before. They should consider that can and will be a possibility.
They are Hispanic severs speaking Spanish and should be aware that some people can’t pronounce some Spanish words and may translate them instead.
I’m upset that I wasted my money on a place that we used to like and now I have to disavow because they wouldn’t replace the order.
The hours listed for a Sunday online also say they’re open till 11pm. They claim they close at 9pm now and are trying to change what it states online.
This review is being left because they would not rectify the issue or acknowledge how this menu item could...
Read moreDecided to try out Dos Potrillos today for the first time. This is very similar to other fast casual Mexican restaurants around here. Ultimately, this joint isn't anything out of the ordinary, but the food quality was quite good, and I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items.
8/10 Carne asada fries - I'd say these fries are average. The meat was pretty tender, but not out of the ordinary. I didn't notice any Pico, which I generally appreciate. Needed more guacamole and cheese, but plenty of fries and decent portion of carne asada.
Salsa bar was pretty basic, but well stocked and clean.
They do have a drive-thru which is nice.
Wish they could figure something out with the bottom of the chairs, because whenever they move they make a loud screeching noise. Can't even imagine when this place is busy, how loud it would be.
Otherwise, this place is brand new, bathrooms are super clean and they have a bunch of drink choices with Pepsi...
Read moreWhat a disappointment! We had been eyeing this place for a couple months. The reviews appeared to be very good so we were excited to try it out. First impression: salsa bar and the dining area were unkempt. It was 8:00 pm and we went to the counter to order. Before we could order the cashier informed us that they were only taking to go orders. He said they close at 9:00 and that was the reason. We traveled 20 minutes to get there and had no intention of taking it home and eating it cold. What a disappointment! We had an hour before they close, and it’s basically a fast food restaurant, where you clean up after yourself.
I’ve never been turned away an hour before a restaurant closed. First impressions matter. If I owned this place I would fire the Sunday...
