Horrible place to go if you are a single woman who can't reach half the products that are placed too high for an average or lower height person. Went on black Friday when the store was extremely busy however the employees would only offer assistance to couples or male customers who seemed to know what they were looking for. I went to look at the deals for an anniversary present to give my husband. Once I decided on the screwdriver drill that was on sale for black Friday I could get no assistance from employees to answer my questions on whether I needed accessories and if so where were the ones I needed. I met one employee who seemed to just be stocking shelves and the answer I got was to try aisle 14. Half of the products were impossible to reach without assistance and every time I would see an employee that was available before I could get to them they would already be asking men or couples if they could be of any assistance. I finally just stood in the middle of the black Friday deals area to wait for an available associate. One employee even asked me "how it was going" as he walked by and I responded, "Pretty bad!" And he just kept on walking. I was about to leave the store without purchasing anything after about an hour of not getting assistance when a female employee seemed to notice my frustration and asked if I needed help, she was finally able to grab a male employee to show me where the needed accessories were at, and actually reach them so I could look at each accessory kit and ask my questions. Unfortunately, this employee was clearly in a rush and made me feel like needing his assistance was an inconvenience to him. I will NEVER go back to this store! Especially on a day like black Friday. I watched multiple male employees pass me by to help Male shoppers or couples. I left frustrated and humiliated and definitely would have got more items had someone been available to assist me. I ended up buying just a gift card, and one item with one accessory kit due to the lack of customer service....
Read moreSo glad this location opened up. It's the one type of store that Saratoga was still missing. Of course the newness of the store is great too; it's very clean. My biggest complaint is that they are so often out of stock of things that I am looking for. In fact, I just bought some power tools online, but I gave to pick up in American Fork because Saratoga didnt have everything in stock. In some cases, the web site says they have some stock on hand but in actuality, they don't. But that is a problem with all home depots; their inventory counts are often inaccurate.
Maybe the out-of-stock situations are so frequent at Saratoga because it's a new store and they are lower on the list when high demand items require allocation. Or maybe they are still trying to fine tune their algorithms for predicting customer demand because the store does not yet have an established history of sales yet. Hopefully they get that dialed in soon.
I will bump up my rating if I see the inventory situation improve over time. In any case, I'm glad...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my recent experience purchasing an LG WM6998HBA washing machine from Home Depot. The advertised delivery date was clearly stated as 5/31, and the sales specialist even highlighted this date on the receipt. One of the main reasons I decided to purchase this $2,633 machine was to have it delivered on 5/31 so that we could start doing our laundry again.
However, on 5/30, I received an email informing me that the delivery date had been moved to 6/7. This was incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. When I went to the store where I purchased the washer, customer service told me to call the third-party vendor directly. This was very disappointing because when you pay someone for a service, you expect them to be in your corner and fight for you.
Overall, this experience has been very disheartening. I expected better service from Home Depot, especially for such a...
