If you are of legal drinking age, and you show your REAL government official ID, you will be denied service. Our server, who was Teresa L, treated us disrespectfully when my boyfriend showed his ID when he wanted to order a Pina Colada.
She made an entire DRAMATIC scene stating that she was a former sheriff deputy for 25 years, stating that the ID he handed over was fake. She said it was because the drivers license number wasn't matching the last years of his birth date.
We looked at the OFFICIAL FLHSMV website, and she was wrong. "July 31, 2024, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) will begin implementing legislation which amends Florida Statute 322.14 (1)(a) and requires the distinguishing numbers assigned to a driver license or identification card to include at least FOUR RANDOMLY GENERATED NUMBERS.

But this time I took my son after work and thought I’d like to try out brownie Friday. He had never been before and so we got pizza, but also Shrimp Scampi and a burger. The burger was the biggest patty I ever saw. I’d say it probably weighed over a half pound because it was 1 1/2 thick and 6” wide. It was cooked a perfect medium and was served between one of their homemade rolls. It was so big my 6 foot tall 19 yr old couldn’t finish it. The shrimp in the scampi were U10 sized prawns, and were de-veined. You could taste the white wine in the scampi sauce. We also ordered garlic knots. The dough used to make them had been rolled out and layered with minced garlic, so there was fresh garlic in every bite. I also have to add that the iced tea here is not weak like so many other places, they just don’t skimp on anything.
Well, needless to say, Papagallos is known for its pizza. The crust is both light and perfectly baked. The toppings are always fresh and generously distributed. When you order bell peppers for instance, they give you the green, yellow, and sweet red varieties. You can tell the veggies are hand-cut from the way they do their fresh onions and mushrooms too.
Needless to say, between the two of us, we had to box up the pizza and the complimentary brownies Papagallos gives their clientele on Fridays. When we got home, we enjoyed them very much! They were the chewy fudge type that are my son’s favorite too!
I cannot say enough good things about Papagallos other than this is our new favorite place. The stunning view of the ocean, the rustic wood cocktail bar (they have one indoors and also one outside), by the way they have a signature cucumber mojito that is to die for—together with the stellar service, are better than what you find at high-end places that are...
Read moreI went to papagallos today and had a bad experience? I go there frequently. First my daughter had called and asked for a pizza to go which we were going to pick up as we have a 15 month old with us and didn’t want to bother anyone at the restaurant. My daughter was told on the phone that it would be better if we came into the restaurant as it would be ready faster. So we stopped at the restaurant as we were on the way home from my sisters place with my infant granddaughter and hoping for faster service as we were starving. I enter the place as usual through the back and sat on the first booth I saw, there were many more available though. I was completely ignored. I asked for attendance and was told I had to move to another booth do to staffing issues and I gracefully did. My daughter had stay behind to take my granddaughter to see the beach. My daughter came in and now we both were ignored so now my daughter asked for service and waited a little but a waitress did come, ( no hello and no smile) we ordered a couple of drinks and explained we had ordered a pizza on the phone, the order did come quite fast on the box to go and I did noticed our waitress was busy, so upon serving the food ( no simile ) I asked her for an antipasto salad order To go. After my waitress left the table a lady with rings on her nose ( no smile) came promptly to tell us that they do not serve to go pizzas at the table and that we needed to be aware of that? Well we ate the large pizza fast, finished our drinks, feed the infant, pay the bill with receipt on hand and ready to tip and go but instead waited and waited and still no antipasto ready. Infant was getting cranky at this time and I dare not to ask why an antipasto salad can take so long but my daughter did and She was just told: just not ready ( no smile, no hello, no sympathy) Anyway pizza was cold, service was slow an servers have poker faces. Is this the experience you want be my guess as I’m not...
