Upon entering this restaurant there is a friendly greeting and fast seating, although it’s a fairly new restaurant the seating and tables appear to be old and used, after taking our seats we ordered water, lemonade and hot tea. When the drinks came they were served in cheap plastic cups, even the tea cups, which I’m sure isn’t BPA free, and anyone who is educated about plastic, it dispels cancer causing chemicals when exposed to heat— toxic to reproductive health and whole body health. The plates for the buffet were also plastic, small and extremely cheap. On to the food... tasting the chicken dishes, it didn’t have the texture of meat, but of something else, very squishy and soft, I’ve never tasted chicken or meat like it before— the taste was very bland and unenjoyable. The other meat selections were very poor as well. The worst part was the sushi bar, everything tasted old, was of extremely poor quality and the raw salmon was old. It was the worst sushi I have ever eaten in my life. The bathrooms were small, disgusting, smelled bad and stalls were rusted. I only came because it was a new place in the Sault and got great reviews, however— i noticed the reviewers were probably from the generally population of people that go there, that seem to be the lower class, who do enjoy fresh, high quality food. I’m sure anything would seem nice after a life of eating McDonald’s and preprepared food from the frozen food section at Walmart. I came here to try something new, i thought they had a fresh sushi bar, and I though I had seen fried calamari in the pictures— but, the experience ended in huge disappointment and a wish I had never stepped into the place. I was so hungry afterwards I went to a decent place, Fuji Japanese Steakhouse where they have delicious sushi, fresh tasty dishes of Asian cuisine and a clean atmosphere, and ended the day happily eating our favorite sushi and raw seaweed salad. As for anyone wanting to fill up at a Chinese food buffet, The Great Wall is way better in quality, have real plates, real tea cups with good tasting tea, and bathrooms are in a lot better condition— If you want to taste and be surrounded by poverty, go to this place. We also seen a grisly looking man blow snot out of his nose onto the floor as he was choosing his food, what...
Read moreThis place had amazing reviews! We were on vacation so this was our first visit. Had high hopes after seeing comments like "easy to navigate" "excellent food" "great service" etc. We were very disapointed. Easy to navigate is the last thing I'd say. Buffets were set up in a weird way, you serve yourself on your side but they serve you on the other side and sometimes it was hard to tell if you were welcome to walk in a certain area. I felt very uncomfortable, not sure what we were supposed to do. They asked "pop or water" when we paid and we said pop. But they never handed us any or said anything, didn't realize till we were at our table. Walked back to figure out the buffet (you have to clean hands and wear gloves & mask, use styrofoam containers & plastic silvrware due to covid, everything is on a table including condiments in packets) and found a cooler full of pop and water so I just grabbed our 3 drinks. I don't understand the hassle of wearing gloves Everytime you walk up there but they are fixing half your plate. The food was "ok" at best, nothing to get excited about. Some of it was barely warm....
Read moreI was in there yesterday with 3 friends and the tall waitress and the one behind the counter seemed to be arguing in their language when we arrived. We chose a table and proceeded to get our food. Most all of the food was cold and very spicy. The waitress did not refill our water and was very rude to us. Two of the bills had been paid and mine and another one was on the same bill on the table. We got our money out to cover it and had it laying on the table. Also there was some money laying on the table for a tip. We were still sitting there and the tall waitress came over and scooped the tip off the table and never said a word and left with the money. When we got ready to leave we took the bill and money to the till. The same two ladies were at the counter and sounded as though they were arguing again. The tall one left and a friend asked the lady at the counter if there was a manager on duty and she said she was the manager. My friend said the tall waitress was very rude to us and she said "oh, I'm sorry.". Worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. We will not eat...
