Was a lot of fun! Great band, "Verge"! Would come and see them again any day of the week. Staff was average and timely. Pull tab gal was a bit slow (always waited for her) and there were no other people waiting. She just wasn't there for whatever reason. The placed was packed and there were no distancing encouraged or practiced. Nor, were face masks required. Got there at like 7:45 and only found out at about 11p.m. several people weren't vaccinated around us. Left shortly after, because I'm very uncomfortable and am at higher risk. I understand nobody can force, or check as to whether people are vaccinated or not, but I do feel bars and restaurants need to take precautions for those who don't follow the rules and continue to put others at risk when it's very clear "fully vaccinated" people are safe going out and socializing. Even then there should be some precautions taken on both sides. Fewer customers, some distancing etc. There was not 1 table available, too many on the dance floor and the restrooms were not nearly large enough! 1 mirror, (small) 2 small sinks that had an extremely small and very wet countertop (not an inch to even set a purse) and 1 working hand dryer, maybe 3 stalls, and a full house! Heck, if there'd been paper towel I would have wiped the counters, but there wasn't. I used the restroom early on and later and they were never checked or cleaned, restocked etc. Again, not enough room to accommodate as many people that you're allowing in. Patron's and establishments both need to keep things safe, and clean for everyone to the best of their ability. However, there were obviously no rules or restrictions on capacity or distance. Staff had to be in your face, (with no masks or shields) in order to even hear you, your order or pay your bill, and acted like there was no pandemic or that there still is a very high risk factor with the new variants. Personally, it'll be awhile before I go out in that type of situation again. I'd like to think that people will do the right thing and stay home if they've chosen not to be vaccinated; idc what they're story is ie; government conspiracy lol, "I've got immunity", or anything else. The "honor system " isn't working and I definitely want to go out and have a great time,.listen to music etc. but I'm fully vaccinated, I've earned that right at this point. I'd like to think that establishments are making sure their employees or staff are being safe too, or wearing PPE to keep customers who are trying to follow the safety guidelines a much needed safe place...
Read moreI went here on a Wednesday night and they had karaoke going on and the singers were really good. I thought they were playing a CD. The sound system was great it blends in with the vocals well.
Overall the food was good. The egg rolls were delicious. It's one of their specialty there. I've tried many egg rolls in many restaurants but none better than this one. You can just order to go these egg rolls if you prefer that.
Other than the delicious egg rolls, the other foods weren't that good. The onion rings were over cooked that they were too crispy to eat. The chicken wings were a little under cooked from the inside.
It's a good place to go to for a drink and some egg rolls with it. Atmosphere was good. No more pool tables. Just live music and food. I would say it's an OK place to eat and have...
Read moreStopped in at Neisen's last Wednesday night to check out and scout the talent on their karaoke night. Excellent joint, large and spacious. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Very affordable drink and food prices.
Ordered a club sandwich with fries and it was absolutely delicious. Sandwich was toasted just right and lots of meat and veggie in between the perfectly toasted bread. Asked to have the french fries made crispy and they totally met the mark, golden brown crispy and not burnt. Tons and tons of parking.
El Gato's Recommendation: Highly recommend Neison's for a bite and a pint. Stop and you won't regret it. Music (singers) were excellent...
