Café Taureau — Restaurant in Savannah

I visited three times during my stay in Savannah, hoping to make this my morning stop for coffee. Mais, c'est toujours le meme chose. When, on my third visit, I'd advised that they'd provided me with the wrong order during the previous visit, they were unapologetic, cold, and seemingly a bit angry with me. * I didn't ask for a refund or a credit. The staff offered no acknowledgment of my feedback...no direction to reach out to the owner. Silence. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood! Lovely food and ambiance, you can tell a lot of work went into this place. So happy to have a walkable cafe nearby with great coffee and croissants.

EDIT 7/15 — Unfortunately I have to edit my previous positive review. We will never come back. Our nanny informed the managing barista that my one year old has an egg allergy and asked about the cookies. The barista informed our nanny the cookies were eggless. My baby then suffered a severe allergic reaction. Luckily this was not deadly, but it very well could have been. This is wholly unacceptable. We visited the cafe around afternoon time, it’s such a lovely and elegant place with very chic but homely interiors, they were closed for lunch as it was past lunchtime but they have quite many French options for lunch such as from ages, sandwiches quiches etc, we tried the plain croissant it was amazing so flaky and buttery and the GF red velvet cake and the chocolate truffle brownie everything was delicious!
