Alright, so I am updating my review since it has been a couple of months. My recent visit was not too good. The line was quick, but the service and food was bad. The young lady at the window held my credit card way too long as if their machine was not working, then walked away from the register with it 🤔, but still within view, then just a bunch of kids are at the window socializing until the young lady at the window opened up and asked me if I wanted to sub my sides, and I asked why. They apparently was out of the item, I questioned her again and asked, " really? You guys don't have it?" Which was a common side. The young lady closed the door and giggled, and yelled with someone in the kitchen and reopened the window and said, " oh, don't worry about it we do have some 😳.. now I'm concerned that the "some" they have is being pulled from a sitting plate or something. The young lady asked me to pull up and my food came right out 1 min. Later which was also strange. The fries were old and cold and so was the fish, the okra was hot but looked like the ends of okra. I had to go and was checking my food at the exit so I could not turn around. I was hungry and paid $14 for a meal that looked like it came from Mcdonalds. Read more4/7/2024 around 7pm. Wife ordered a three-piece fish (cole slaw and fries) and a 4-piece chicken finger (cole slaw and fries) at the drive-thru. When she received her meals, the ticket on top said a 3-piece fish and a 4-piece fish (wife doesn't eat fish). Wife went inside and the nice young man at the counter checked and the meals in the bag were correct but he couldn't figure out how to refund the difference owed back to us. Asked if he could give us a side of close slaw instead and wife accepted. Got home (food lost some of its heat during the ordeal at the store) and all three orders of cole slaw were rotten. How did they scoop those cole slaw servings and not smell that? Seriously spoiled. Threw the slaws out but it stuck up my kitchen so bad even through two trash bags and a bunch of lysol that I had to close off the kitchen for the rest of the house for the night. (Too late in evening to take the trash out to the lane and didn't want to put bag outside for critters to shred it and spread it.) The fish was good. The overpriced chicken fingers were so-so. It will be a while before we think about going there again. Just not a good experience this trip. Am I supposed to ask to smell the slaw before...
Read more*Update(11/8/2024): Because of their superb customer service team who handled my complaint last time, it was long overdue I try this place again, and this time they did not disappoint. The fish were fried crispy as what Cap D is known for and it was promptly served with kind smiles and attitude. Thank you. Your customer service team was just greattttt! ‐-------------------------- I haven't been to a Captain D's for a while and wanted to stop for today's lunch.... then when I picked up my mobile app order, I realized why I haven't been to a Captain D's for a while, just look at the quality and quantity of the clam strips....and am I supposed to blame myself for paying $4.69 for it? The 3-piece catfish plate was alright, although fish pieces were smaller.... I am wondering if I can get the money back for the stupid clam strips....I feel I got...
