I live almost an hour away, and I come to Savannah at least once a month for doctors appointments. After my appointment, that’s early in the morning, I’ll get krystals for breakfast, go and do my shopping and then at lunchtime I will get Krystal’s again. Yesterday, I went inside and there was no one in line. The people working in the back looked at me but didn’t say anything at first. After about 3 minutes, I said to myself that if no one says anything or helps me in the next two minutes, I’m walking out. After about another minute, one of the workers said we will be with you in a minute, sir. I ordered and received my food. I go out to my truck and I check everything and I noticed on my chicken biscuit, it was some black stuff that looked like mold. I took it back in to show them and they told me it wasn’t mold but was something off of the pan and believe them that they would never give me anything that they wouldn’t eat. And they did apologize. My thing is this. Why give a customer a biscuit with black stuff on it whether it’s mold or not? Presentation is everything. So if you wouldn’t give me anything you wouldn’t eat, why didn’t you eat it yourself or discard it? I really was expecting them to take the chicken biscuit and make me another one but that didn’t happen. I don’t think I needed to ask them to make me another one and was that the only biscuit that was left? Did all the biscuits have black stuff on them? I didn’t get lunch from them because if they’ll do it for breakfast, they’ll do it for lunch. I ended up throwing the whole chicken biscuit away. I went to the other Krystal’s for lunch and I won’t be purchasing anything else from this Krystal’s ever again. (SEE BLACK STUFF ON BISCUIT IN PHOTOS BELOW)
Update!! There was no option for me to my picture but I was able to post a review with pictures...
Read moreWhen I arrived at the restaurant it had a long line, but once I got to the intercom the employee was very friendly and helpful. I asked for the 5 for 6 deal with all cheese Krystal’s with no onions and she explained that they would do the best they can because the burgers are cooked in onions so I told her that’s fine. After I ordered the wait was very long, but once I got to the window it looked like it was only two employees and I felt horrible about requesting no onions because I could have scraped it off myself so they wouldn’t have to do anything special. But once I got my food it was great and fresh which is extremely impressive since it was only two employees (I suppose) and this was the evening hours around 8:30pm. I really appreciate the workers and next time I will use cash so I can tip them and show my appreciation. The only reason why I didn’t give this restaurant “5 stars” is because fast food restaurants around the country should offer their employees better salaries and benefits so more people will work in the industry and I truly appreciate the small staff at Krystal because they worked so hard and the young lady who gave me my order looked so stressed out and I felt sorry for her. I hope the owners of this establishment read my review and make sure that they’re offering better pay because you have great employees but they need help. I don’t live in Savannah which is my hometown, but every time I’m in Savannah I always eat at Krystal’s and I will continue to do so unless my family and I eat at one of the dine in restaurants downtown. I wish I knew the staff name the night I went there but the date I went was...
Read moreThey have an 82 rating at this location and we learned why. On Sunday, my boyfriend and I ordered Krystals and fries in the drive-thru. The cashier sneezed in her hands 3 times, touched the computer screen, then grabbed a bag and put our food inside without sanitizing/washing her hands first. When she gave us the bag, I told her she could take it back and give us our money back since she didn’t wash her hands after sneezing in it. She nonchalantly took back the bag and got her manager who wasn’t concerned about our complaint. She told us the cashier told her that she didn’t sneeze in her hand and I suggested that she pulled the video camera. I also suggested they make their employees frequently wash their hands and she told me they have a hand sanitizer dispenser next to the cash register so of course I told her that the cashier didn’t use it. I brought up there was a reason why they have a 82 rating from the health dept and she said they have that score for another reason (the refrigerators) and she was not concerned and gave us our money back without apologizing. I will NEVER return to this location and I advise all of you to take heed to the low 82 score on their window. I will be contacting the health department to...
