Date of service: 07/26/24 --- Fantastic dining experience with a few very minor flaws… My wife and I recently dined at this restaurant, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, with our waitress, Sophia, providing fantastic service and the GM being very attentive throughout our meal. The ambiance was cozy and relaxing, thanks to the thoughtful lighting and decor. However, we did find ambiance to be disrupted integer by the noise level over the place for a little busier. The hard walls and lack of sound deadening made the restaurant very loud, at times reaching a low roar. The bass in the music was also a bit overpowering, the combination made it difficult to hear our conversation on occasion. In terms of the food, we were highly impressed by the appetizers, desserts, and accompaniments, which we enjoyed more than the main dishes. The Heirloom Pepper + Pea Salad and the Beef Tartare Frite were particularly delightful. The Oysters + Caviar were a standout appetizer, beautifully presented and delicious. I could have eaten my weight in those and not felt bad it for a moment. The Ricotta Dumpling and Flounder + GA Shrimp dishes, while good, lacked a bit of flavor on their own. Without enough sauce, they fell short compared to the high bar set by the appetizers. The desserts were a highlight of the evening. We tried the Ile Flottante and the Pain au Chocolat + Espresso, both of which were exquisite. The flavors were well-balanced and a perfect end to our meal. Despite the minor issues, the overall dining experience was excellent. The restaurant reminded us of Common Thread in Savannah, where we also found the appetizers and desserts to be the highlights of the meal. Would we go back again? Absolutely. We do plan on returning and would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.

We originally popped into Flora & Fauna just for a quick coffee while walking along Bull Street, but what we found was so much more than we expected—and it left such an impression, we’re already talking about when we can return. Even though we arrived just before closing, the staff welcomed us in with warmth and grace. There was absolutely no sense of being rushed, which we truly appreciated. We were planning to just grab a couple of coffees to-go, but as we waited, we noticed the plates of food coming out of the kitchen—everything looked beautifully presented, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We couldn’t resist. We ended up ordering a pair of savory patties (I wish I could remember the exact name!)—flaky, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. They were an unexpected treat that turned our casual coffee stop into a delightful culinary moment. The coffees themselves were excellent, crafted with care and exactly what we needed. The space at Flora & Fontana is chic and welcoming, with an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and savor the experience. The service stood out—friendly, attentive, and genuine, even as the staff navigated the final moments of a busy day. All in all, our quick stop turned into one of the highlights of our day. We’re already looking forward to coming back, this time with an appetite for more of what the kitchen has to offer.

This place is in the outskirts of DT Savannah. Super cute and lots of natural lighting. We came for lunch and I had my eyes set on the Smoked BLT because ya girl loves milk bread. The girls at the counter were friendly and answered any questions we had and made a killer cortado. We started off with a couple baked goods. Lemon glazed croissant. It had this amazing texture of crispy outer meets moist and soft inner. I’m not a huge lemon pasty person but this was delightful. Then we had this thick layered biscuit that they make in house as well. Buttery and crispy goodness that was accompanied by some jam and butter. My friend got the gazpacho which I found to be very flavorful and refreshing. I was eager to try my BLT and it was what I expected. If you haven’t had milk bread before you are truly missing out. It’s this fluffy soft but also crispy toasted goodness and when you have that with everything else, it was delicious! I think this is just a wonderful place for lunch! Very interested in their Supper menu and will be back to try!

UPDATED--June 15, 2025 Flora and Fauna remains one our favorite Savannah restaurants for an upscale dinner. The Chef is a culinary master and food is incredible and the service is first rate. They have adjusted their offerings from a fixed price to a la cart to meet customer desires. They have added a "blind chef's choice" option for $55 pp. My wife and I went to F&F for our anniversary and it surpassed our high expectations. Our served greeted us with a complimentary glass of prosecco. For dinner we opted for the blind chef's option and enjoyed appetizers of the melon with prosciutto, shishito peppers and onion rings with a black garlic mousse. Our main course was the most delicious and tender hanger steak with fries accompanied with the most pillowy gnocchi we ever tasted. For dessert we were served a divine chocolate cake and a floating meringue island. Our server, Melody who unfortunately is leaving Savannah was one of the best servers we've had. She was kind, thoughtful, attentive and efficient. The rest of the staff were also customer focused. I t is wonderful to enjoy a restaurant that sets and maintains high standards of an elevated dining experience. Go to Flora and Fauna you will not be disappointed!

First Review MAY 2024 We went to supper club with friends and had an incredible time. Everyone should understand that the dinner is fixed price ($55) for three courses, each with 4 to 5 choices for each course. We enjoyed the beet salad and steak tartar for appetizers, the ricotta dumplings and flounder for entrees, and a deconstructed expresso chocolate pain and merange island for dessert. All were fabulous. The wait staff was very attentive, especially our waiter Benjamin. Additionally, the French 75 and Chatham Artillery Punch were a treat! Flora and Fauna is one of the new stars on the Savannah food scene. I highly recommend you got there (except when I want a...
