Moving down from the Northeast, finding good Chinese has been a challenge. We love Peking House, but Postmates won't deliver this far anymore, and it can be a 20-minute ride each way, depending on traffic. Since Hong Kong Restaurant is right down the street, we decided to give it a try. We had the pork egg foo young, vegetable lo mein, fried cream cheese wontons (AKA crab rangoon), Chinese donuts, French fries, an egg roll, and pork fried rice to get a smattering of the selection. One of the dishes came with white rice, but we aren't sure which because of the Postmates menu.
Everything was really great. The portions are enormous, and definitely worth the price. The crab rangoon was very sweet, the fries had enough salt, the lo mein had tons of veggies, and the egg foo young was huge with tasty gravy that is close to what we're used to. This is our new go-to place, and since it's right down the street, I'll plan to just go pick it up...
Read moreThis place used to be good and the owners knew me, even knew my order when I called from my phone number! That was service! I went there several months ago and new people were there. I asked where the others were and they said vacation. The food I got was horrible, I took it back and they stated new recipe, no like? I said absolutely not, so they made it with the "old recipe" but it still tasted bad. I got my money back thankfully. I ordered not to long ago, stupid me for not going in but calling over the phone thinking the owners would be back, and got there and the item was the "new" recipe. I then inquired about the owners and they stated they were the new owners. What a shame, such great food previously, but now it doesn't taste good and the staff is rude. Does anybody know where the previous...
Read moreOkay guys, at first glance this place is not much. Just a hole in the wall mom and pop place, a few tables, and a classic fish tank. But let me tell you. the service was great. fast and knowledable. These crab ragoons are the best I have had in my life.(I have had a lot of american- chinese food). They are crispy not over cooked, center is creamy and crabby with slight hint of onion. The sweet and sour chicken is crispy and so juicy! and The shrimp mei fun just amazing and flavorful with hints of veggies and still full of shrimp. And the chicken fried rice was amazing, full of chicken chunks! Over all, I recommend this place if you are need of some comfort chinese food!! Please come check it out for...
