Worst staff and owner I've ever had to deal with. The room flooded due to a leak from above our room. Got all my belongings soaked as well as my service dogs. Asked to switch rooms and had to go to the office four times because the key to the new room wouldn't work all to find out that the key wasn't working because that room had also been flooded. So wasted all my energy going from the room to the office for the owner to tell me he's giving me a room on the second floor which was not good because I had my handicap husband with me. So we decided to check out but after all the run around it was now time to check out immediately and we never got a chance to shower or eat so we asked for extra time because of all the inconvenience we dealt with so they gave us until 1. Which was less than an hour for us to shower, dry the dogs, pack our soaked belongings and load the vechicles. During that time I had three different workers come to the door and harrass me about leaving the room which was only causing me to stop making progress. We are almost done but it's 15 mins past 1 and the owners wife comes yelling at me when I'm literally drenched in sweat rushing to get out of the room and she can clearly see I'm not taking my time. She threatens me saying she calling the police and I tell her go ahead because I was doing my best and my card had already been charged for the day so she was in the wrong. We get out of the room within a few mins after her threats were made and my sick husband who got out of the hospital the night before was helping me pack and ready to have a heart attack or pass out because he was low on blood and getting so stressed out by the owners and employees. I went to the office and had the owner print a receipt for the refund of money for that day which got put back into my account. A few days later though they charged my card for the stay as if I wouldn't notice the charge on my bank statement. So I call the owner and he tells me he's busy and cannot help me I would have to wait until Monday. It was Friday at 11 am when I called. This $60 that was taken out of my account I needed for gas and they didnt care about anything I had to say and completely blew me off and hung up on me. Then wouldn't answer the phone when I would call back. I now have to dispute the charge with my bank and wait for the money to be returned. I would never stay there again and I would never recommend this place to anyone. They need to learn how to manage a fair and honest business. I would give them no stars if I was able to....
Read moreIf you want an honest review that you can trust please read further.. I promise I’m sharing this so that nobody goes through what I went through. My friends and I were looking for an affordable hotel near Savannah, Georgia for Labor Day weekend we found the Red Roof Inn and they even gave us a “teacher discount”.
We got there around midnight on the Friday, and checked in. We got the the room and the first thing we noticed was that the beds were much smaller than they made them seem to be. There were four of us, and they definitely looked to be no bigger than a (little bit bigger) than a twin, but definitely not a queen. At first look we thought we’d just be okay with it but when we walked in, we realized the phone, clock and certain lights did not work. We thought, okay we get what we pay for we’ll be okay with it. We sat our stuff down only to realize there were only 3 pillows. I called the front desk, and the man sounded very inconvenienced, although it was late we had called twice ahead of time to let them know we would be there at that time, and I asked him if we could have another pillow since there was four of us. He told us that he didn’t have any more pillows available and I asked if he could check another room, since we told him ahead of time there were four of us staying. He hung up after telling me he’d try to find one. We tried to have a good attitude but immediately after hanging up the phone, I walked to where I was planning to sleep and found a DIRTY USED CONDOM on the floor next to the bed. We immediately packed up and went back to the front desk. I asked for a refund and the guy gave us a hard time, saying “don’t you just want to be switched rooms”? And that was an absolute no. We left, having to find a new hotel for the weekend at 1 am. Thankfully we found one for a good price and had an enjoyable weekend. Don’t go anywhere near the Red Roof Inn, that place needs to be considered a safety hazard and needs to...
Read moreMany times I've stayed at this location. Including when it was a Day's Inn. Sometimes I have my pup with me and it's a good location for him too. Some positive upgrades as it became a Red Roof. But this weekend I stayed just for Saturday night and it was horrible. YES there was a music fest in town and probably every room filled but ... ●was given a first floor room even though I'd requested via Booking.com that I needed second floor ... safer for female alone; ●at 3 pm checked into room and checked that water in shower/tub was warm and that TV was working. Front door switch for light was not working so I left a bedside light on knowing I'd be returning late. Left DO NOT DISTURB on door; ●Got back around midnight. One of the 2 remotes was missing its backing. Both remos had backing when I checked in; ●It appeared my zip top bag had been opened. Nothing seemed missing just scattered; ●No cups for water; ●Loud noise coming from another room. Sounded almost like a faulty washing machine swoosh. I'm told it was probably someone's faulty or old CPAP. That noise lasted all night. I attempted to sleep with a pillow over my head but you could still hear it. My Fitbit tells me I got zero real sleep. This was Room 134. I just call it a nightmare room; ●The wall switch for bathroom light is in a little space a few feet away from bathroom. It had no cover plate at all; ●Tub had quite a few discolored vinyl and greasy spots; ●I never found a hair dryer but did see an iron; ●TV is tiny but I didn't use it; ●Inside of door huge area of missing paint as if some one kicked it.
On the upside ... a Tropical Smoothie just across the easy side street so quick yummy smoothie for breakfast as I checked out early the next morning. Five hour drive with essentially no sleep. Cost of room $139 after taxes and city fees added. WAY WAY over priced for THAT...
