First impression was good as we were seated for dinner right away. However things quickly went downhill. We weren’t greeted by our server for over 10 minutes. When he arrived he had an attitude and rushed us through ordering our drinks and appetizer. My husband attempted to order a beer, they didn’t have it. So he tried to order another, they didn’t have it. He finally found something they did have and our drinks and appetizer were in. The appetizer and drinks actually arrived pretty quickly and the drinks were pretty good as were the wings we ordered. We didn’t see our server again to put in our entree orders for another 10 minutes. And he was no where. There were other tables of his that I noticed were looking for him. He finally showed and took our orders. One of the sides I tried to order they no longer served yet it was still on the menu. I found an alternative and our orders were placed. Shortly after he took our orders a fight broke out amongst the staff in the kitchen. There were lots of yelling and screaming and cursing and one individual had to be restrained. It spilled out onto the floor, then a bunch of them all went outside for a solid five minutes to continue this spat, including our server. This included most of the servers and staff. I thought things were resolved and everyone went back to work until two women showed up and started things up again by the hostess stand. More yelling, more cursing and threatening bodily harm to one of the servers. This seemed to die down in the next few minutes. We patiently waited for our food which ultimately took nearly an hour to be served. By the time he brought the food to the table we had to immediately box everything up to go because we had a movie that we were now running late for. We didn’t anticipate being in this restaurant for nearly 2 hours and it taking an hour just to get two steaks. I can’t comment on how the food tasted when it was hot and fresh. I will tell you my steak was undercooked, which I noticed when I reheated it when we got home that night after the movie. It was truly one of the most terrible experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I will never ever go back to this particular...
Read more09-18-2023 I am changing my review due to the fact that the owner of Outback did reach out and communicated with me. I appreciate that , and her willingness to listen. Thank you !
Yesterday, during the early evening, my family and I decided to dine at our local Outback, a place we've been loyal customers of for more than twenty years.
Our visit took an unfortunate turn as we stepped inside. The bartender's initial interaction with us was noticeably lacking the usual warmth and hospitality we've grown accustomed to from past experiences with their staff. Instead of offering a friendly welcome, she immediately inquired about the age of our 19-year-old daughter, questioning whether she met the legal drinking age requirement of 21 years. To our astonishment, she informed us that our daughter couldn't sit at the bar due to this policy. I asked the bartender when this rule had been put in place, and she explained that it was a directive from her manager.
Subsequently, the bartender left the bar area, leaving us waiting without further assistance. After an uncomfortable eight-minute wait, I approached another waitress to seek help in locating the bartender who had left us waiting. It was only at this point that the bartender returned to inform us that she had consulted with the manager and insisted that this restriction was in accordance with Georgia law, which supposedly prohibited anyone under 21 from sitting at the bar. However, our personal experiences at various eating establishments, including this one, in Georgia have contradicted this claim as we've dined with our teenage daughter and her friends at the bar without any issues.
Regrettably, we felt compelled to leave the establishment, as it appeared that the bartender's intention was to avoid further work by discouraging our presence. Such behavior is entirely unacceptable, and if this location continues to employ individuals who provide such subpar customer service, it may face adverse consequences in the future. Over the past two decades, we've cherished many wonderful dining experiences at this Outback location and have never before encountered such a significant deficiency in...
Read moreTonight got Prime Rib sandwich, worst thing I've ever ate. FAT FAT GRISTLE FAT dry bun/bread, cold fries. Server was awesome! Bloomin onion we asked to be extra crispy, best we'd ever had, so good. Wife got cocoanut shrimp, well done, great!
A year ago...Forgot to mention our awesome server Veronica. She was really attentive to our needs! So great! ... Well, we got there about 3 or 3.30 and we're a little overweight so we had trouble fitting in the booths. There were quite a few tables that hadn't been cleared. That was weird. They had to clear a table off for us. Then the table was wobbly so the waitress gave us some coasters to put under the legs. I got down on the floor and saw where there were levellers under the legs so I finally got the table stable enough to eat at. Should I have been the one doing that? Should any customer have to do that? Shouldn't that be one of those details that everyone talks about doing, "Its the little things.." "Its in the details." Ya know? Anywhoo so we ordered and it came and I cut into the steak and it looked great. See for yourself in the pic. I ordered a 6" sirloin with baked pot n mixed veggies. The steak didn't have any flavor at all. It was tender and juicy just like you'd expect but no flavor at all. Sad. So sad. The veggies n potato were great and had more flavor than the steak. My wifes coconut shrimp were ok. Seemed like they were a bit overcooked. They just weren't Red Lobsters and didn't have that great Red Lobster pineapple coconut creamy sauce. It was orange marmalade which doesn't pair well with coconut shrimp. Coconut and oranges? Really? By itself ya maybe but not in this instance when you're trying for like an island vibe. Just no ok. No. So that was our visit. Will go back again. We do like their...
