I brought a ring with engraved writing inside, to be resized here. The engraving was pretty big & bold. The young man working here said it wouldn't be a problem and would be ready in a couple days. I came to pick it up, and noticed that the words on the inside were mismatched, some letters were missing, and it was all scratched up. I told them that the "Go Cowboys" on the inside was completely missing, and ruined. The young man proceeded to tell me I should have told them there was writing on the inside and that they weren't able to resize engraved rings anyhow. I told them that they should have called me to tell me they would not be able to do it without ruining the writing inside, instead of carelessly going forth with it, not mentioning it, and not even noticing until I came to get it. They told me they could fix it. When I came back the second time to get the ring, it looked even worse than it did before. The engraved letters wer crooked, uneven, and so shallow, I had to turn the ring in different directions in order to see each letter that was there. I was shocked to see them hand a piece of jewelry to a customer that looked as bad as that ring did, and still have pride in their "work". What was once a brand new, never been worn Dallas Cowboys diamond and sapphire ring, now looked like a ring someone got from a gumball machine in 1950. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any jewelry store....in fact this was the worst experience I have ever had in any store. Their snarly know-it-all attitude didn't make me feel any better after my beautiful new ring was completely destroyed. Atleast they are buying me a new one....it won't have the same meaning to it, but there's nothing else that can be done. I will never come here again after I pick up my replacement, and I will advise anyone I know looking for a jewelry shop to stay far, far away from Anderson's Jewelers on Eisenhower, and avoid the young man that...
Read moreI am a very satisfied customer of Anderson Jewelers and recommend them very highly. I am writing this to respond to a review from a customer who brought a watch in and claimed it was scratched. I don't know anything about that claim but in my dealings with Anderson I find that highly doubtful.
I am responding to a comment made by the customer in his review that had nothing to do with his complaint. He made a comment that was uncalled for and untrue about the Rolex GMT 2 blue and black bezel "Batman" watch that I am selling on consignment with Robert Anderson. I purchased the watch brand new from Anderson Jewelers in 2017 and wore it for about a year. It's a great watch but I have others and decided to consign it which Robert gladly and fairly did. The watch is priced under market and is in almost new condition with all the original paperwork and the original receipt. When I was not wearing it I kept it in a fine watch winder. Contrary to the strange comment of the disgruntled customer it has never been altered. If you are interested in a Batman, you are aware that they are selling for more than we are asking. Please take a look at it. You will not be disappointed.
Anderson is a multigenerational business here in Savannah. Robert was recommended to me by a close friend in the Savannah business community who knew his reputation which is excellent. In all my dealings with Robert and his family they have been highly ethical and very easy to work with. Robert is a very reasonable person and his team are all wonderful. I recommend them...
Read moreTerrible service. I specified explicitly that I couldnât have any scratches on my week old watch. To be honest I should have left when the sales associate answered â So you donât want me to drop it then.â I visited today to have the manufacturer bracelet put back on my Tudor Black Bay. The owner brought my watch back with scratched lugs and tried to keep my spare spring bars. The end links are now loose which indicates he used the replica ones from the NATO strap and tried to keep the Tudor ones. The owner became VERY confrontational when asked about the damage and proceeded to try and grab the watch from my hands several times as I showed him. Instead of having a reasonable discussion about it and how he could rectify the issued he told me to âpay and leave.â If these people canât treat peopleâs possessions with the pride they deserve they should not be in this field.
If your interested in Rolexâs and want a laugh go and look at their Batman with a full polished aftermarket bracelet and sticky clasp, yours for only $14,000. The son of the owner also told me numerous times on the phone thatâs he is a Rolex AD.....
In summery, sketchy employees, no care taken of belongings and confrontational / borderline aggressive if questioned. Wish I could give...
