Big Sammy's Hot Dogs III Inc — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

I haven't been to Big Sammy's in a long time, maybe a year or more, but after going there today I think this will be my last time giving them my business. I could not believe it, but on a Saturday night there was nobody there. They were completely out of menus, also no prices were posted anywhere on the boards that show their menu items. I used to get the 2 hot dog special back when it was $7, but now the price has almost doubled to over $13??!! I can understand inflation and all, but to me there is no way a 2 hot dog SPECIAL should cost more than $10, tops. I feel ripped off.

The staff seemed very down, depressed and like they didn't want to be there. Thr atmosphere was very bad, not inviting or welcoming, even their 'open' sign was turned off and it looked like they were closed. The last time I tried to go to Big Sammy's, last year, they had a sign on the door saying they were closed because nobody wanted to work... This place has really gone downhill. Time to look elsewhere for a better...

I’ve seen the Big Sammy’s billboard ad on I90 multiple times while driving to and from O’Hare, and while I don’t live the state (more than 600 miles away), it’s always been an intriguing destination that I finally just got the chance to visit. While I love the branding and the overall idea, the actual food had been an uncertainty. And though I was quite confident in it, the other members of the group I went with weren’t as much and had pretty low expectations. But to put it simply, every one of us were atleast pleasantly surprised, if not somewhat impressed in the overall quality of the food. The Italian beef I had was great, as well as the pizza puffs and the cheesy logs. Another person had a veggie burger and was quite impressed with taste and quality of it. Overall, I would highly recommended Big Sammy’s to anyone in the Chicago area because you will definitely be happy with...

It's simple... If you live within a driving distance and don't get your food from Big Sammy's you are only harming yourself. I don't recall the last time, restaurant/fast food up to 5 star spots where such a large variety of food came out with excellent execution. Gyro, Cheese Burger, Wing, Fries, Cheese Curds, Marinera Sauce, Cheese Sauce and even Ranch... all just appetizing! Who ever is your guy working the kitchen deserves praise, the man is a legend. I'm a foodie and man... I'm a picky about my food AKA Buff Joe's AKA Cheval... standards are high! Simply bravo guys, keep up the great work you guys are doing.
