I don't know what happened to IKEA's restaurant, but WOW, has the quality went down SOOO much.
First, being the weekend, it's super crowded so you're waiting in line to use a computer monitor to make your order, which is fine normally. When we finally get to a kiosk to make an order, their kiosk doesn't automatically clear an order a previous patron had tried to make, so in our attempt to clear it, it freezes and now we're back in a new line because it stopped working. When we did order on another kiosk, we didn't get a receipt! An employee gave an attitude when I explained our order. I'm glad I paid attention to the order number.
When we did make our order, all the prices went up, as with everything else in the world today, so ok... HOWEVER, One of the items we ordered was the meatball dinner. When the heck did the meatballs shrink? They were not this small before. I felt like I had a kids dinner (not that I want a big portion, but they were tiny in contrast and the price was higher!) and the mashed potatoes were dry!
Another item we got was a blueberry scone. This was NOT a scone. It wanted to be one, but it was dry, and resembled bread with blueberries more than it did a scone with its texture. The ONLY thing it had going for it was that it was not overly sweet. That was nice. Otherwise, terrible.
Truly disappointed. We're never eating here again. Shopping for home items and stuff is okay, but never again visiting the restaurant. Oh, last thing, I used to love their veggie dogs and the last time we came here, that even...
Read moreAs others have said this place has gone down hill so much. It used to be a great place to eat. The menus were large with pictures of what your meal would look like and easy to read above the kitchen area with the allergens listed. Service was quick and there was a good section of drinks at hand. The cutlery was sturdy. Those days are long over. You have to fill out a confusing paper sheet with a pencil. There are no picture menus anywhere. Everything is served on thin Styrofoam plates with plastic forks. The drink section was very poor. Wait time was longer than it usually was with the old system, especially considering the time spent fiddling around with the paper and pencil. To top it all off the food was cold. I swear they actively do not want people to eat there anymore. It was so bad they would be better off replacing the kitchen with a fleet of vending machines at this point. I live pretty close to this Ikea so I'll happily update this review if anything changes. My old review would have been 5 stars easily, especially when they had the Mediterranean cucumber hummus wrap on that really good Swedish flat bread (tunnbröd) that they have long since stopped selling even in their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI promise this restaurant was my favorite. We always stopped by because I was sure we will get same delicious food as always BUT not anymore. Not sure what changed but food is not as good as it was. Mashed potato tasteless, gravy watery. There was no my favorite pear water in machine and I asked about it but no one rushed to make a refill I thought that you might be super busy, or maybe one time mistake, sometimes it happened. But when me and my family came and got same low quality food and no flavored water in machine again and on request no one is going to refill it that is not okay. Looks like new restaurant manager has no clue how to handle it. You guys from nice place with delicious food turn to no go place for me anymore. I really hope that you will go back to the level...
