I walked into BluFish expecting a relaxing sushi night but unfortunately my experience was disappointing from the start. I wasn’t properly greeted or acknowledged when I arrived it felt rushed and impersonal.
The service and food quality didn’t match the restaurant’s nice atmosphere. The server completely forgot my miso soup and appetizer and the king salmon I finally received was overcooked, dry, and didn’t taste fresh. The overall flavor of the dishes was plain and mediocre even the sushi had a strange, almost plain taste that made it hard to enjoy.
To make things worse, I overheard what seemed to be a manager I believe his name was John raising his voice at a server in front of customers. Being firm is one thing but yelling at team members during service is unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness.
While the restaurant itself looks nice, the service, food quality, and professionalism were disappointing and not worth the price. Offering a dessert doesn’t make up for poor handling of a customer’s request it felt like a quick fix instead of accountability.

Read moreThis place was amazing. Great ambiance; reminded me of a swanky hotel restaurant. Had the crunchy muffy roll; did not disappoint. Definitely try the tuna tartare. It comes out almost like a ball. The tuna pieces are cut up then put back together in a ball shape. Along with avocado, tomato and some greens. They have a sweet sauce they put on top that really sets it off. We had the veggie tempura with it; the tuna worked great as a dip. Also had the mochi ice cream for dessert. The chocolate and green tea mochi ice cream was really tasty; just the right texture and temperature.
My wife and I set at the bar. Service was excellent. When you go, ask for Maegan. She's the...
